How about hiring a coordinator that has done the job before at some level, rather than position coaches that you hope will grow into their "new role"?

Well if you're hiring a guy away from another team it generally needs to be a promotion since he's under contract. You don't see teams hiring other teams OC's. Commanders hired Eric Bieniemy away from the Chiefs but they did give him the title of assistant HC. So coordinators become HCs and position coaches become coordinators

Valid point. But maybe make a move when it doesn't work? Again, Pete pulled the rug out from Scotty when we were 7 and 1. From the midway point of last season to now? How bad has the offense been? But Pete won't step in?

Well, there's this thing called College Football where there is an abundance of innovative coaches.

Another shot at Waldron, it's like piling on now

https://www.fieldgulls.com/2023/11/24/2 ... le-results
'So in summation:

Seahawks go shotgun, 11 personnel needing just 1 yard.
Put a tight end on Nick Bosa. Not just any tight end, but the one not known for his blocking.
Ran the ball on the side where the tight end is blocking Bosa and their smallest, least healthy receiver is blocking a slot corner.
???
Go bankrupt.
By the way, that 4th down conversion with Charbonnet in the Commanders game? Fant was blocking a defensive back, not Nick freaking Bosa.

Absolutely zero feel for personnel and situation is shown on this play.

And so we’ve reached the point where I’m saying it: Fire Shane Waldron.'

He's not wrong. But I think the problem is bigger than Waldron.

One day it’s Geno. The next Waldron. The next the line, etc.

Pete and his idea of offense or direction of offense doesn’t work as constructed.

Oh well, Pete’s Pete. Looks like year seven and only 1 playoff win in that time.

Pete will continue to be the HC until the sale of the team or he decides to retire.

We all know this :(

Trolling the Hawks
But after the game, San Francisco receiver Jauan Jennings wasn't finished chirping. He trolled the Seahawks with a post on Instagram.

"Pay them folks that much money to be missing tackles," Jennings wrote on Instagram with the hashtag #makingmillionsmiss.

I don't think Carroll has lost it. He just doesn't have enough self-motivated players and his coordinators aren't putting the players in positions to succeed.
