Right? I realize we need a Guard, but this dude would be a converter Guard. Unless he is the next Steve Hutchinson? No thanks.

I don't think there's ever been a guard selected in the top 5. This would be a ridiculous pick - it was so bad I think that whole mock was just to enrage fans and generate clicks. SexyMs would have a heart attack.Michael K. wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 9:09 pmRight? I realize we need a Guard, but this dude would be a converter Guard. Unless he is the next Steve Hutchinson? Not sure how much you can learn from that particular play. It was literally a 2 man rush. Everyone else dropped into coverage. He was able to flush the QB out of the pocket in a 2 man rush and the play ended in a throw away. I'll take that any day.
Watch his full highlight reel he seems bendy enough to me. Seems like he moves well laterally collapsing on the run too.

I wouldn't take him at 5 but if they trade back and take him into the 9-10 range I wouldn't be upset with that.

I thought you were wrong, but the Colts got Quinton Nelson at 6. Again, I would take Quinton Nelson or the next Steve Hutchinson at 5....but a Tackle you plan on converting to Guard? I STILL think the only reason we didn't move Ifedi to Guard where he belongs is they didn't want to admit they used that high of a pick on a lineman that can't play Tackle, and Ifedi was 32nd! We aren't taking a Guard at 5.SeattleAddict wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 10:33 pmI don't think there's ever been a guard selected in the top 5. So can one become more bendy or is it a case of you were born bendy or not.
For me, getting bent always came naturally, and I never needed coaching.

I saw some random comment on 710 saying, ” I’m SO done with this team if they take Richardson.” Normally I let it go but couldn’t that day….and said ”Nah. You’ll be the first to tell your friends you knew him along if he works.”Michael K. wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 12:45 amI thought you were wrong, but the Colts got Quinton Nelson at 6. Having all the people like that renounce their fandom and stop posting on social media would be a dream come true. I can hardly think of a better reason to draft Richardson!

I agree 100% i think we load up on defense in this draft as well. For the past like 5 years everyone thinks the Hawks need a WR3. It's not that crucial of a position. If there is one or are two somewhat capable TEs that catch 3-6 balls a game (like Parkinson, Dissly, Fant) and a couple of RBs who are okay in the pass game (like DJD and still holding hope for K9), then the WR3 isn't going to have more than 2-4 catches a game in the Pete Carrol run-first offense. This team needs more help with the front 6-7 than the impact a WR3 is going to have. If the Hawks don't stop allowing 5-7 yds per rush, then the WR3 isn't going to even have the opportunity to be on the field....ddraig wrote: ↑Sun Mar 26, 2023 2:34 amI'd still like to see us load up on defense. Three of our four draft choices, hopefully, will be for defense. You win with defense. Maybe pick up an O-Lineman with one of the first four picks. RB's and WR's are a dime a dozen. And we have a QB for another two or three years.

Besides we have the great Dee Eskridge! This will be his breakout season! lolSexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 5:11 amI agree 100% i think we load up on defense in this draft as well. I'm going on record saying he has a career year, breaking his career best with >65 receiving yards. Yes, his best season was 64 yards.
Honestly though, I think the kid can probably play... or could before his brains got scrambled on that hit. Remember how Paul Richardson did nothing for like 3 years, then started making video-game level super catches? Maybe that happens again.
