Hawks don't have to offer a LT. Only a pick. Probably a 2nd. If Houston doesn't come to their senses soon that 2nd is gonna become a 4th once the season starts. They have no leverage. They made this situation.

well they have Jamarco Jones, apparently healthy again now. and draft pick(s). and whichever backup RB you like between Homer, Prosise, and Scarbrough.
or Penny instead without anything else.

The Houston Chronicle reports unsigned Texans franchise player Jadeveon Clowney is "adamant" that he does not want to be traded to Miami.
Clowney holds all the cards, as a deal can't happen without him first signing the tag. Clowney is trying to force his way to a contender, reportedly either Philadelphia or Seattle. It's a major blow for the Texans, who covet Dolphins LT Laremy Tunsil.

and doubly bad for Houston, Miami reportedly flat out refuses to trade Tunsil - apparently would spark team-wide riot because of his popularity there. Miami is terrible - if they had any sense they'd lay off and tank it for the Trevor Lawrence or Tui T. sweepstakes.

Still waiting to see the moving parts, but to trade Clark for multiple picks and then pick up Clowney is a tremendous move by Pete and John
