According to Peter King and Bob Condotta, Jalen Carter scheduled to visit Seattle and Vegas in the next few days. So much for "he's off the board" for these two teams.

No kidding....I'm seeing contrasting reports. If they indeed are bringing him in for a visit, I would have to think that they are doing their due diligence.

We've been over all the red flags, and I am not discounting them, but DAMN Carter is talented. He's supposedly in town today, I would LOVE to be a fly on the wall.

It would be great for about 24 hours but then you would be dead. Hopefully you would be kind enough to report what you heard here before you die?

This, from Michael on a different thread...

"Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard. Carter scares me. If he is lazy in college and leading up to his combine workouts, how is getting a fat paycheck going to motivate him?"

Can't disagree. Carter is a beast, but... This is exactly why the draft is such a crapshoot. Can Carter step up and be a pro, or does he implode?

Interesting article, great points. It will be interesting to see how PC & JS approach it.

Just think the Pro day deal has gotten blown all out of proportion. It's evidence of his being lazy, not working hard? Okay, is there any other evidence of that?

Just that the entire League has been talking about it, what and what a shit show it was.

Dude couldn't even finish his own Pro Day he was so winded. PASS!

Here's an excellent piece by Peter King on Seattle's situation at 5. If you want to fast forward right to the Seahawks go to the 40:43 mark. Enjoy

He got sent home from the Combine due to fucking up off the field. He went back and was pretty unimpressive. Gets a second chance at his pro day and fucks that up royal. Yeah, pretty sure that approach to an interview is not how to get a job. But sure, blown out of proportion. Someone is going to take a chance on him, but IMO? It is now a pretty big chance.

To be fair, he didn't get sent home from the combine, the timing of his arrest warrant or whatever it was was just was pretty unfortunate.

All the red flags are real concerns, but he did witness two of his friends' deaths, which he was indirectly but partially responsible for. That, plus the legal implications is a lot to deal with and COULD weigh on a kid to the point of explaining being out of shape for his pro day.

I'm not saying this is the reason, he could very well be lazy and relying on athletic ability, but it's something to consider.

The fact he showed up 9 lbs heavier than he was just a couple weeks earlier is what stood out to me. That's really alarming. I do, however, think there's a chance it is blown out of proportion. I think he's going to be a Seahawk, so I'm trying not to write him off.
