There's a huge table at PFF with information on how long QBs take to throw the ball and with a breakdown (stats + grades) between passes thrown in under 2.5 sec and passes thrown in 2.5 or more. I left out some columns that weren't that important.

As you can see, there is little to no correlation between how long the QB takes to pass and their QB grades (or passing efficiency). The main factors (in my opinion) are o-line pass protection, the QB's mobility, and play design. How quickly a QB scans the field and decides on a target plays a role too but i don't think there is a huge difference in that ability among those QBs that make it to the NFL and become starters.

I asked AI about QB success
.Accuracy is a key factor in a quarterback's success in the NFL:
Accuracy: The ability to hit targets at different distances without making the receiver work. Accuracy is more important than completion percentage, which only indicates if a pass was made, not if it was accurate

Looks like the Rams found their next defensive star 3 spots after the Seahawks took Murphy...

Oh, and the 49ers found a road-grader OG 5 picks after the Seahawks drafted Christian Haynes.

Sure seems like we had a greater need inside. There was hours of debate on them passing on the Georgia kid with the checkered past that the Eagles took. I think the Murphy pick is just fine, knowing what we have up front. But? I was the guy that wanted us to trade up for Will Anderson, because I love Edge Rushers, so? I'd probably have been fine with that pick.
