Re: Welcome to Seattle Jadarian Price!
Jerry Rice played at Mississippi Valley State. He's in the HOF. How was thier SOS? YOur argument is lazy. Look how many QB's at the top schools playing the toughest competition actually move on to the NFL and have great success. Ohio State, USC, Alabama, the list goes on and on for 'big schools' QB's flaming out at the next level. Schedule has nothing to do with talent.
The Penny argument always makes me laugh ebcause everyone lamenting that pick always ignores ALL the context in that pick. When you use context it was a pick that 100% made sense at the time - starting with factoring in the entire Seahawk RB room was on the IR making Wilson the leading rusher - an unsustainable situation.
I say that as someone who watched Penny play in college - something no one on here can say. Also, while I 100% supported the pick, particularly in the context it was done in, he would not have been my selection there - I was thinking lineman. If Penny had had a stellar career no one would complain - the complaints are in hindsite. No team has the luxury of drafting in hindsite.

Whatever, I'm talking about making comparisons. Penny was a starter at SDstate Price a backup at ND. For me, that's not apples to applesMichael K. wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2026 2:56 pmNick Chubb split carries. Dude, weak fucking sauce.

Re: Welcome to Seattle Jadarian Price!
I asked google for a Penny Price comp...
Price is expected to put on weight?
A lot gets made of Price being "fresh", I don't know. It's a pretty unusual situation isn't it? Is there data on it? I don't see the issue as being about the relative schedules of the two schools as much as what to make of the amount of work Penny put in relative to Price. Did that lead to his difficulty staying healthy?Playing Style & Physical Profile
Speed and Size: Penny was known for a combination of high-end speed and size (4.46 forty at 220 lbs). Price, at around 5-foot-11 and 203 pounds at the combine, is considered a smaller, slightly slower back than Penny was, although he intended to play at a higher weight (210 lbs) in Seattle.
Running Style: Price is praised for his instant acceleration, vision, and "rare feel for defenders" with a strong ability to make defenders miss, aiming to add "home run" speed to the Seattle offense.
Injury History: Price ruptured his Achilles in 2022, raising questions about long-term durability, whereas Penny’s NFL career was often limited by various injuries.
Immediate Impact
Role: Price is expected to contribute immediately to replace the lost production from Kenneth Walker III, functioning as a potential two-down grinder early in his career, similar to the immediate impact the Seahawks hoped for from Penny.
Longevity: Because of his low usage (280 carries) in college, scouts believe Price’s legs are "much fresher" than other incoming backs, potentially offering better longevity than Penny, who struggled to stay healthy.
In summary, while Price shares the high-draft status of Penny, he comes to Seattle as a much less utilized—but more "instantaneous" and "fresh"—back compared to the heavy workload Penny handled in college.
Price is expected to put on weight?
Re: Welcome to Seattle Jadarian Price!
Yeah not sure what the point of it was. I would think that price would prefer to think they weren't trying to do that and wanted him at 32 from the get. Must be hanging with DiPoto too much.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2026 2:37 pmNot pissed, the trade back wasn't there so it's a mute point. I think it been better if JS had kept quiet about it to begin with. It is what it is.

Super awkward exchange with Simpson and McVay. Simpson was emotional and crying and said, "Let's go make history coach!" McVay was like, "Yeah, no this is Mathew's team.Michael K. wrote: ↑Fri Apr 24, 2026 2:58 pmOn a team that is built to win now? Sure, I just don't understand the comp. They had different sorts of careers. I don't see what the schedules have to do with it
