sure, depending on the change you are making. Allen bought the team and decided to blow things up. He negotiated with PC to help him do it, this wouldn't be the same sort of situation unless a lot of things change. Its not just JS, its Meyer too, he is carefully picking the situation he wants to get into, like PC did. With the sort of success the Hawks have had lately, doubt ownership is interested in blowing it up. How about this, Jody sells the team to Bezos, PC retires, JS gets picked off by another club because bezos wants to create a club in his image, he hires Meyer to do it...
Doesn't take a ownership change to make a coaching change. What about this Michael K is Jody Allen's burner account and we just put the Meyer ideal in her head.

Of my scenarios, I think Pete hiring an innovative OC and letting them have some freedom is my favorite. And also the least likely.

He has a great OC now. But he is not letting him have much freedom.

Hmmmmm. We just finished with a 12-6 record and almost came away in the regular season with the number one seed and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Most of the reason why we didn't can be blamed on injuries. On top of that, this was supposed to be a rebuilding year with many pundits prognosticating the possibility (I love alliteration) of an 8-8 or 9-7 season. And what has Pete's record been while here in Seattle? 89 - 54. A Seahawk record for wins.

So tell me again why we would fire Pete??
Because Hawks lost to Rams and Arizona at home. Fans are tired of the miracle 4th quarter comeback. Questionable coaching decisions this year.

We are talking about the present. All time record is irrelevant. I don't want him fired but I feel my opinion is the minority. Like I said Always been a Meyer fan and he is available now.
And also you have to ask if he's getting the most of his team? Every year he has a very talented roster, possibly the best quarterback in football, and yet every year they blow a couple games that the other top teams don't and end up in the road in the playoffs where they fall way behind and Wilson's rallies come up just short. Not to mention the senile things he does that even coaches of four-win teams don't do. Think realistically about how many Lombardis we should have, or at least NFC Championship game appearances (for instance, this year). I think all of us know he threw away one Lombardi, but how much has he shorted this team in the postseason since? Obviously you can't quantify it but the feeling is that he's flushed two or three more postseasons down the toilet.

I'd take Meyer if he's available when the time comes.

We beat the Packers like a drum the first game after the Super Bowl. All we heard was how this team may not lose a game and just how many rings would they earn? They lost to the Chargers the very next week and are still waiting for the next ring. Grossly underperformed.

I vividly remember the week prior to the Charger game. There was zero doubt in my mind that we would win.

Hmmm losing your top 3 RB's in 2 weeks and you are all SHOCKED that we lost the last 2 regular season games. Plus having yor FS out one and gimpy the rest of the season. Oh and your LT is out or playing pretty injured. And don't forget you had a back up center in....and your 3rd string LG.

BUT WITH ALL OF THAT WE SHOULD HAVE STILL WON RIGHT????

The Cardinals were not as bad as you think they were....we lost to SF by 2inches. We are a power run 1st team. The top playoff teams are all run 1st. Yes we have the best QB but honestly with our defense don't you think you want to keep them off the field as much as possible?? You do that by running the ball.

The Super Bowl teams, go check out their rushing leaders. Both of them have mixed and matched RBs all year long. Watch a Chiefs game and tell me how many times they lose and everyone wants to know why the coach held back Mahomes? The 49ers? Yeah, that is the team Pete wants, and that is the team Pete wants, but it isn’t the team he has!

And seriously? Someone is defending the loss to the Cards? Jesus, this fan base blows me away some times. Half the posters in here think the Pats are a fraud because of their shitty division and then turns around and talks up how great the shitty teams in our division are! The Pats and Bills would have destroyed the Cards at home, because that is what good teams do when they want to improve playoff positioning.

Coach the team you have, we have a franchise QB that is handcuffed to a handle and a conservative offense until it is too late. It is stupid.

Maybe Jody will feel the need to make her mark like Jen Cohen did when she fired Romar and hired Hopkins.

I think between Jody Allen waking up tomorrow and deciding to fire JSPC or deciding to sell the team, selling the team is a much more likely event to happen

I would give each about a 1% chance.
