Jenkins sounds like a great addition. He seems to be really on the ball.....pardon the pun. He said he could not believe how crazy good Witherspoon was...
That really creative part is what intrigues me. And somewhere? Pete Carroll is somewhere arguing simple is best and if you just play incredibly soft? The QB will eventually make a mistake because the game is really hard for offense!D-train wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2024 5:04 pmYou really should educate yourself on what is going on. The reality is that if they bring the corners up and not give a 5-10 yard cushion they will get beat more often on longer pass plays. That is the trade-off. I'll take it because the end result will likely be the same but the D won't be on the field as long.![]()

Yep it was like he was living in the past when a 50%+ completion % and more TDs than INTs was considered Good.Michael K. wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2024 1:25 pmThat really creative part is what intrigues me. Well, the idea was that you let them get into the red zone then when everything gets compressed the short pass plays that got them there suddenly don't work and you hold them to a field goal (unless you can't stop them from pounding the ball into the end zone). The problem with that is that your defense is on the field for long periods of time and lots of snaps and they wear out later in the game.Nwadventure wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2024 2:28 pmThe let's play ten yards off the receivers so there is less of a chance of getting beat deep is such a let's play not to win concept. Let's play scared - lol
“So I think we got to really be able to study the playbook and understand the different type of spots, because any of us could be in any given position at any given time, and that’s the cool part about the offense, but it’s also the tough part because that means that everybody has to learn every single spot.”
