Not sure if you consider 27-10 a blowout but the Cards are definitely a better team than the Falcons.

I guess i would call that a quasi-blowout. They are still due a real one and the Falcons have given up on their coach according to several sports radio hosts. Best case scenario: Hawks blow them out, Quinn gets fired, Seahawks fire Norton, Quinn becomes the DC. Of course that has almost zero chance of happening since Carroll wouldn't approve. Realistically, the only way that we get rid of Schotty and Norton is if some middle-of-the-road college programs throws some money at them.

Well, the Huskies got rid of Smith because his alma mater was dumb enough to hire him, and we responded by hiring someone else that has no clue how to call plays because he had never done it before. It might not be a good thing if someone hires our Coordinators.
I work with a guy that knows a lot about coaching football. Says he is blown away at how basic our pass rush is...we don't do anything to try and create mismatches or one in ones. I wonder if that is on Pete or Ken?

You're talking with someone who knows alot about coaching football and Seahawks are doing the same stuff every other team is doing. Stunts, pulls, twists etc. They do it. Last week the pass rush was in a containment rush because of you know who. If they got too exotic they would have created rush lanes.Michael K. wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 7:47 pmWell, the Huskies got rid of Smith because his alma mater was dumb enough to hire him, and we responded by hiring someone else that has no clue how to call plays because he had never done it before. Perhaps they only know how to "coach" great players.

But they developed those great players. As far as the pass rush. I have no idea what the problem is. Clowney is giving maximum effort. He just no getting home. Ansah has been unhealthy and useless when he is in there.
Seattle isn't changing their defensive philosophy nor should they. I thought it was agreed upon that tbe offense would have to carry the team until the D found its identity. Isn't that what we are seeing now?
The most glaring problem I am seeing on D is Sam LB. KJ looks old and slow. The Hawks have one of the fastest defensive players in football on their bench. I have been one of his harshest critics. It might be time to see what Shaquem can do.
