Oh, so now when it doesn't work,.it's on the players to step up? I thought all we needed was Kubiak and all the geniuses they brought in? Not anymore? Weird. Now we blame the players. yeah, real lousy game from him, very disappointing. he slipped a bit losing his footing before cutting inside, which threw the timing/spacing off. probably a perfect throw and catch if not, converting 3rd down and extending the drive, so that slip was effectively a turnover.
dont recall him ever doing that for the Rams against us.

What a fake bullshit way to lose. Purdy threw TWO up for grabs dogshit passes and Woolen stopped on one and got the second one taken away from him. And then for Lucas' ass to be right there at that moment...and I,'ll bet that someone was open. This was just one of those predetermined outcomes.

This one was not on Darnold, he played well. Our play calling sucked ass, and we just have this home field disadvantage thay causes our guys to shit themselves.

That IS the offense we are going to call BECAUSE the QB is Sam Darnold. He played well? Before we were FORCED to throw it down field, he had 88 yards passing through what was almost a complete game of football. I kept looking for a third running back and Barry Fucking Switzer on the sideline. That fucking offense set the game of football back four decades, and the QB played well? Dude. When is checking it down every attempt until a minute left playing well? We scored one God Damn TD, and held the ball for 22 fucking minutes....but the QB who had to complete his two longest passes at the end of the game, right before he fumbles the game away, just to get to 150 fucking yards played well?

Only in Seattle. We are so used to horseshit, that what Darnold did today qualifies for playing well! If Russ has played this game? This place would have been plotting his assassination in the third quarter!

This is the offense. We act like we've never seen what a fucking defensive oriented coach does. Defensive.oriented coaches change the offense when they are 8 and 2 because they aren't comfortable. They opt to punt on fourth and short inside the 50 and they go for FGs on when a conversion would damn near ice the game. Get used to it.

I don't know why anyone is surprised. This is worse than I expected, but the offense ran the ball well in the pre-season last year too. This is a better O Line, but you don't add one Guard to the HorseShit we had last year, add forty run game coaches and poof....get better. Fucking delusional.

You saw his play today. He didn't make any bad decisions like Geno would. He threw the ball reasonably well. We ran a 1955 offense and Walker might be done, he was really easy to tackle today. Handing the ball to Walker killed drives.

Im wondering if the lack of preseason play had something to do with how blah our offense was, a lot of teams underperformed on offense today.

The lack of pre season play is league wide…not just us. Geno almost threw for 400 yards today.

This offense is what everyone screamed for, it’s what the head coach wanted. Donn Beach posted four articles a day this summer about how the 17 run game coaches they hired along with Kubiak were going to cure all that ails this offense. Then? This happens today and everyone pisses and moans about the offense we all knew they were going to call and the fucking Head Coach calls out all the players. What a joke.

Darnold is who he is…his is the offense they wanted. Acting like this O Linr and these backs are just gonna shove it down field against loaded boxes is ridiculous. But get used to it. Pretty sure I said this all summer. But everyone in here wanted to read Donn’s articles and lap it up with the local media,

That's why Grubb was fired and why Kubiak was brought in. MM doesn't give a shit if the backs fit the system, if the O Line can execute, just fucking do it. THAT is the offense was was advertised, THAT is what we got. Like I said this summer, I look forward to the game threads were everyone is going off about how shitty the run game is, when you were all splooging all over the computer screen about the new coaches and how great it was gonna be now because we added Gray and Kubiak's fantastic dozen offensive specialists.

Same fucking personnel besides a Rookie Guard, but all we need was a Kubiak and a bunch of his flunkies and we'd fix it all. Bullshit. Anyone who didn't know this was coming hasn't been paying attention. It's worse than I thought, but this is what MM wants. Now? He has the coach he wants, so instead of blaming Grubb he is asking players to step up. They are the same fucking players except the receivers and QBs are worse! The guy has so much faith in his physical run game that he settled for three when less than a yard basically ices the game!

But not one cared about that, because now with Kubiak? We were just going to run the ball even when they knew it was coming. Fucking comical.

The play-calling also was curious at times, as many staples of Kubiak’s Shanahan-style scheme – wide-zone blocking, under-center passing, play-action bootlegs – were seemingly underutilized. It felt like the game plan strayed a bit too far from this offense’s core identity, which perhaps was intended as a curveball due to the strong schematic and coaching ties between Kubiak and 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan.

it was supposed to be along the lines of the Rams, its interesting all the tie ins to the Rams, as well as Darnold working under it when he was with the 49ers

The Seahawks also signed Cooper Kupp in free agency after he was released by the Rams, setting up a spot for him in Kubiak’s offense as a complementary weapon for Jaxon Smith-Njigba in Week 1. No active player in football who isn’t on the Rams right now will better understand the intentions of a McVay offense than Kupp will.

Seattle’s passing game coordinator Jake Peetz was an assistant and pass game specialist in L.A. under McVay from 2022-2023. He was also an assistant under McVay in 2014.

And though they’ve never worked with McVay, several other new Seahawks assistant coaches will understand the intentions of the offense as well:

QB coach Andrew Janocko is a Kubiak guy
OL coach John Benton was with Shanahan from 2017-2020 (and is a former Rams assistant)
Run Game specialist Justin Outten coached under Matt LaFleur in Green Bay
Veteran advisor Rick Dennison is a longtime Kubiak/Shanahan coach
None of which is meant to imply that the Seahawks have nailed their hires and will challenge McVay’s offensive accomplishments. It just means that they’re really, really trying to.

They fired the OC. Scapegoat.
They hired a Kubiak. He has a name.
They brought in Kupp. He has a name and is a local kid. He is past his best days.
They brought in like forty specialists to help the guys that couldn't do the job last year all of a sudden do the job. Fans and media bought in.
They traded Geno for Sam. Scapegoat.
They drafted on single O Lineman and told us the other guys were good enough. Again, scapegoating the old staff.

They told you what you wanted to hear, and you bought in. I don't give a shit what they told you this was gonna look like. Many have been saying that it would NOT get better trading DK and Tyler for MVS and Kupp. You would not get better trading Sam for Geno. Sorry, everyone who isn't a homer was saying this.

You and many others bought into Kubiak and all the assistants. The media, once again, slobbered it up like a porn star and a money shot. It was pathetic. Then? Want to act surprised that an offense that went backwards in talent besides at one Guard spot, looked like shit playing the vanilla offense they pretty much fucking told you they were running.

Grubb didn't run the ball because it didn't fucking work. And Schneider and MM didn't care that it didn't work, they wanted to anyway. So? They made all these changes, told you it would be great, and just like when we went from Bevel to Schotty, and Schotty to Waldren and Waldren to Grubb? you all bought it. It's still a shitty O Line, it is now run by a WORSE QB and the WR room is one guy. Brag all off season about the TEs and I wasn't even sure if they fucking played yesterday! This is what they wanted, and it's what most of you wanted. I hope you enjoyed.

BULLSHIT. They are trying to make you believe they are trying. And again, for the fifth time? Our fan base and media gobbled it up for an entire summer. It's not Schneider's players, they just need a different coach. And the best part is? Now MM is calling out Schneider's players. Look out MM, Johnnie boy probably won't like that.
