I have to give Belichick and the Pats some credit, its been brought up the talent they lost over the off season, including Tom Brady, and they took the Hawks down to that last nail biting play. You can claim Belichick is overrated but i wouldn't ever take a team of his for granted
Pete deserves all the credit. He damn near tried to blow another game because of all things, Run First Pete decided to chuck it! Man, that was just so damn stupid. One damn yard. Not to mention, I have pointed it out and not sure if anyone else saw, but why the hell did Carson slide? When you give yourself up you lose forward progress. That should have been a second and one or two play coming up, not four. Those couple of yards played big. I get not wanting to go out of bounds before the two minute warning, but you don't have to slide to accomplish that. It is almost like we just can't handle winning a game with the offense on the field when they don't have to score to do it. The victory formation is fun, we should try it sometime.

I think RW was thinking of that 4th down pass to Metcalf last week and got stupid. I'd give it to Carson there unless NE totally sold out to stop the run.
Even if they did, the incompletion stops the clock and our defense was getting carved up. Who’d have thought Pete would dial up a pass and I’d be pissed, but that was stupid as shit!
It was stupid because we now know it didn't work and Carson had been grinding a couple yards even with no hole to run through.
But this was a totally PC and or RW like decision. The week before they go for it on 4th down and covert. IF they didn't covert that, we'd
have been pointing our how stupid it was, and we'd have been right. Statistically, anytime RW chucks it in the vicinity of 16 it's a completion.
He should have been wide open. It would have iced the game. The snap was really bad throwing the timing off.

If you're a Pats fan, you are wondering how penis hair Cam walked into the end zone all day long basically unmolested and yet still
found a way go fuck it up with the whole game on the line.
I might agree, but I can't remember a time all night that Carson lost or didn't gain yardage?

Interesting predictions by this guy. My prediction: None of them will happen. But it is a good read. He goes all Mike Blowers with the details on some of them. Pretty funny.

1. A special teams turnover will help determine the outcome (This is just so rare. Easy to say it won't happen) Nope
2. Seahawks gets more running yards than passing yards(People act like Pats have an amazing pass defense. They played the damn Dolphins and Fitz) Not even close. 275 vs 154 rushing
3. L.J. Collier gets the first sack of his career (Possible but when he gets his first it will be against a statue, not Cam) Nope. His game saving tackle was his only one on the day
4. Jamal Adams gets an interception (This is the most likely but still not likely enough to predict it will happen) Dunbar wins that prize
5. Seahawks win a low scoring game (This is also possible but again, I think the Pats D is over rated after one game vs. a bad offense. We will score 31)
Like I said the Pats D was over rated. 35 points and RW had another field day. Even the Pats scored 30. 65 total points is a lot even in the modern era.

As I predicted dude went 0 fer 5. My post game notes in red.

Positives:

RW is the best player in the NFL right now.
OL was solid for a 2nd straight week.
WR core is elite it seems.
Carson seems as good as ever and Hyde has been solid.
Jamal Adams pass rushing and run defense.
Run defense has been quality. Poona being the catalyst here.
Defense has handled plays to exterior far better than last year.

Negatives:

Stupid penalties.
0 pass rush from the defensive ends. And I mean 0. :x
Interior rush has been dog shit.
Jamal Adams pass defense has been woeful.
Shaq has looked pedestrian in a contract season.
Dunbar has either looked elite in coverage or like absolute shit.
Diggs hasn't made an impact at all.

A lot of the struggles on defense will be solved if they can figure out how to get ANY pressure on a QB. Alton Robinson better be on the active roster and starting. The Hawks also need to look at ways to bring in talent to rush the passer on defense. Explore trades... get a f/a with the remaining cap money... because this cannot continue. While the pass coverage hasn't been great, there's not a single secondary in football that is going to stop an NFL QB who faces no pressure and in turn is always on time + comfortable. This. Needs. To. Change.
Sign Earl. He rehabs his image and goes to a Cover 2/3 team next year. Meanwhile, we let Adams go crazy on blitzes, covers, run stuffing..whatever he wants.
I was actually thinking about that...

Could make Earl the center fielder and put Diggs in the slot. That said, it ain't gonna happen. I think Earl's rep has taken a serious hit after the shit that happened regarding his wife trying to shoot him and getting into fights with his teammate. He seems to have gone a little bit off the deep end and is near getting fit for a straight jacket.

I think it could happen...no idea in terms of the where he fit on the roster, I gonna assume that is unlikely, but in terms of everything else, its a business, if it made sense they would figure it out...that being said, Dallas makes too much sense

We aren't going to play 3 Safeties, and I don't think they are going to take a LB of the field to allow Adams to play LB. So, unless Earl is going to play NB, I don't see how it fits.

No way in the world should they even consider signing Thomas. Not only did he burn his bridges here, but he's mentally crumbling and his recent behavior is borderline sociopathic. He's not going to have this Hollywood revelation and suddenly and miraculously get better. People have watched way too many movies. I can see it now, Pete Carroll hugging Thomas and telling him, "It's not your fault. It's not your fault. It's not your fault." Okay, maybe I've watched way too many movies. :D
