Maye is that good. Almost any other year he is your #1 overall pick. and his junior and senior years a lot of scouts had him rated #1 even as Caleb (and later Daniels) got more attention.douche wrote: ↑Fri Nov 14, 2025 7:02 pmFor me, it's the chicken-and-egg-thing. Is Maye that good, or is he good because he's in a situation with good coaching and good scheme?Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Nov 14, 2025 3:54 amI don't follow the league very closely, I guess Vrabel and Maye are a story. Seem to be the actual MVP and COY leaders
I would give Vrabel a lot of credit. Wasn't he the guy who helped resurrect Tannehill's career?

You must be Rick Wampler.

Raiders fire OC Chip Kelly after latest poor offensive showing in loss to Browns.
"I spoke with OC Chip Kelly earlier this evening and informed him of his release as offensive coordinator of the Raiders," head coach Pete Carroll said in a statement. "I would like to thank Chip for his service and wish him all the best in the future."

The Rams beat the shit out of TB. 34-7. I watched the first half. It didn't even seem to be a contest.
Seahawks defense is legit, if not elite. The Seahawks are a legit playoff contender, but maybe still not good enough.

Yeah, two weeks after firing his ST coach. I guess if you like watching train wrecks, it's turning into a remarkable disaster. Is it getting into Urban Meyer territory in relation to expectations? Does Pete survive? He's under contract for three years, probably around $15 MIL a seasondouche wrote: ↑Mon Nov 24, 2025 2:24 pmRaiders fire OC Chip Kelly after latest poor offensive showing in loss to Browns.

Re: Around the League
I'm willing to concede the seahawks are the second best team in the league at this point. But I don't think there's much daylight between them and the Rams. How many other teams could cough up four interceptions to the Rams and still take them down to the wire.
Fact is they are probably facing the Rams three times this season and it's pretty unlikely you're beating them all three times. So if it's about where you to take a loss, that one really wasn't so bad.
Re: Around the League
How do we give up 38 to the Bucs and only 21 to the Rams with Sam throwing four pics???

Re: Around the League
We have over a 90% chance to make the playoffs so more than a playoff contender, we are a playoff team but you question stands regarding being a SB contender. Got to get the defense healthy.

Re: Around the League
Remember, there was a breakdown in the defense against TB. MM taking responsibility for it after the game and then going about fixing it. That's an interesting aspect to a season, the issues as they arise. I've been impressed with how MM has gone after them. What's scary about the Rams is the consistency. When a team seems to hit that level of consistency it's really at an elite level.

Re: Around the League
MM after the TB game, that's really what it's about, preparation, isn't it? The issues with the Rams game, this one with the penalties. The team that's better prepared is generally going to win
“Obviously very disappointed," Macdonald said. "Our guys played extremely hard, fought all the way to the end. Look, I told the team, ‘This game is my responsibility, okay?’ You’ve got to give Tampa Bay a lot of credit … but I have to be better with our defensive gameplan, our execution and how we call it. When we put up a performance like that, it means that I didn’t prepare them well enough.”
