And how about Ziggy? In 18 plays that he was on the field he accumulated no stats. No tackles, no pressures, no anything. He was Bluto Blutarsky out there yesterday.

One of the things going through my mind today is the following question. Which coach is/was most inept at managing the clock: Holmgren, Carroll, Sarkisian, or Petersen? I mean give me a break, can't we get just one coach out here that can figure it out?

I had read somewhere Payton had Bridgewater purposely getting the ball out quick. Think Teddy was 3rd fastest at releasing the ball all day yesterday. Not saying our pass rush was great but that could have been part of it. To me the biggest issue on D yesterday was tackling. Missed tackle after missed tackle.

But they saw that for 4 quarters against Dalton week one. Why can't they make adjustments to take that away? Norton is apparently as incapable at making those changes in-game as Schottenheimer is at putting together an effective game plan.

I can deal with the physical errors and lame play but these mental errors and decisions are just inexcusable.

1. False start on a freakin PUNT that led to the Punt return for the TD.
2. Covering up the center on the missed FG that led to the TD
3. Inane clock management at the end of the first half costing a FG.
4. Decision to throw it 1 yard on 3rd and 3.
5. Decision to throw a low % bomb on 4th and a foot with the game on the line.

If we make only 3 of those mistakes instead of all 5 we win.
Oh yeah how can I forget the 15-yard penalty on Thompson for coming out in the field to celebrate out of uniform. You cannot make this stuff up.

If he wants to be on the sideline, they need to strap him into a wheelchair or something.

That fumble was HUGE.... totally different ball game if not for that.

And the drive stalled at the 13. Not saying the Hawks automatically score a touchdown otherwise, but the one really big mistake the Saints make all game and Thompson dumbs it right back.

And again, the mistake of not going for 2 when they got to within 13 points in the 4th quarter. Chances are it wasn't going to make any difference, but you always play for a 2 possession game, not just piss away the game kicking the extra point.
