Once again, when and if Penny comes back, he wont lose snaps to Dallas. Nor should he.
I think this sentence is true. Of course, I always liked Penney.
I'm worried Penney will never make it back to the same "potential". Notice I don't use the word "level".
I pretty much hated DJ until the 4th quarter today, but it tickled me to to see the kid have a moment and
not completely fuck up his opportunity by say, dropping the gimme TD catch or fumbling at the goal line.
He's obviously just a dumb kid still. I get what MK is saying that he really didn't prove shit. But still, I felt
he got a little stronger later in the game. Who knows. He needs a style. He doesn't have one currently.
He needs to watch some tape of different RBs like Daren Sproles and Frank Gore etc. He's not a Marshawn
and probably not a Carson. Don't take any advise from your buddy Homer.

Dallas did zip to prove he is a lead back in training. He’s our 4th best back. And it isn’t even close. I remember people here saying he was the best blocking rb in the draft. Well after watching him I think that is not true. When tiny injured homer comes in to block, there’s the answer. If he’s our lead back I. The future we are I huge trouble. I’m not a Penny fan at all, he was over drafted like Collier. But, he is a 100 times better than Dallas. As a runner Dallas is just a guy. There are tons of them out there.

Penny's first three games:

7 carries 8 yards 1.1 yards per
10 carries 30 3.0 yards per
3 carries 5 yards 1.7 per game

He also had these gems that year:

4 carries 11 yards
4 carries 4 yards
4 carries 6 yard

I am willing to give Dallas a few more games and more than 20 total carries before declaring him a complete bust or not as good as Penny.
Funny, Penny 20 carries in his first three games and 43 yards. DeeJay now 20 carries and 49 yards. Not good either but amazing how close they are.
Did Penny forget the offense twice and almost get his QB killed? After Penny did next to nothing did people come in here and say to tell Mike Davis good bye?

No, Penny stunk, Dallas stunk...the only thing Penny didn't do was blow two huge assignments. Sorry, to watch Dallas' last two games and thinks that means we should waive good bye to a former 1st round pick with an year after this left in his deal is stupid. And is exactly what I was commenting on.

Yeah I certainly would not cut Penny because of Dallas but I think IstilllovetheM's was just taking the opp to take a jab at Pro and his love for Penny as opposed to doing some in depth analysis comparing the two. Btw RW is an android and can't be killed so don't worry about that. :)

btw did anyone notice RW get up quickly and look around all alert like after getting drilled in the skull on his little run so that the concussion police wouldn't have even the slightest bit of evidence for probably cause to concussion protocol him. I am telling you, dude is super human. LOL

How was there no flag on that play? If it's Brady or Rogers it's 15 yards and the player is probably ejected.

If you're talking about that last TD drive they did flag it, and it was a bad call. Russ started his slide late and there wasn't any significant helmet to helmet contact.

It looked to me like the defender led with his helmet. I don't think there has to be significant helmet-to-helmet contact to get a flag, but i suppose it would be difficult to make the case that it was intentional so an ejection wasn't warranted. It just bothers me though because Wilson has been jobbed so many times before it seems like the refs go out of their way to protect other QBs.

Yeah, not sure about that call, but it's like Wagner's call against AZ...that is the game now. It was an awkward slide, but he was giving himself up.

Not true, it was a good call, as he for sure launched himself, and his shoulder absolutely made contact to the helmet. The rule doesn't have to be helmet-to-helmet, it reads:

A defender must pull up when a runner begins a feet-first slide. This does not mean that all contact by a defender is illegal. If a defender has already committed himself, and the contact is unavoidable, it is not a foul unless the defender makes forcible contact into the head or neck area of the runner with the helmet, shoulder, or forearm, or commits some other act that is unnecessary roughness.

Yep, everyone screams "terrible call" or "this isn't even football!" on twitter whenever one of those goes down but it is what it is and its surprising that people are still surprised by rules that have been in place for what, 3-4 years now?
