Chargers was the swing game for me. I was the only one that took them and they were up 13-3. Fuckers.
Again, the Chargers suck dude. There is a good reason you are the only one that took them.

Look at their games, they could just as easily have one win on the year. They got destroyed by the Jags, not beaten, destroyed. The Jags? Are Charles Barkley Trrrible.
It was my upset special and I think the 49ers are overrated.

Awesome stuff here!!!
This is awesome. I love guys that get into it for their team. Love Raible, and Rondeau was my absolute favorite. Back in the day when only about four or so Husky games were televised...I spent many an afternoon glued to my radio. I STILL remember the heartbreak in his voice when UCLA gouged us in the fall of 89 or 90. That team should have won a NC.

I disagree. They look like last year's team only with a healthy McCaffrey.

Was it vs. Aikman at Husky stadium. I was at that game but might have been 1988.

Their losses:

1. The Bears (pre Jimmy G so we can forget that one)
2. The Broncos (impressive they only lost by 1 given the Broncos have a HOF QB)
3. The Falcons (Lost by TWO touchdowns)
4. The Chiefs (got drilled by three TDs and lost by 21)

Their wins:

1. The Hawks (This was basically still a preseason game according to PC)
2. The Rams (we now know the Rams suck)
3. The Panthers (horrid team)
4. The Rams (ditto to #2)
5. The Chargers (who you just said are terrible)

Not a single impressive win or loss in the bunch.

Do that with our wins and losses and let me know what you find out. They run the football and play defense. The Chiefs are really good and that Bears game was played in a monsoon. If we lost that game, in the same manor as the Bears, we would still be making up excuses. I didn't get to see much of the Bronco or Falcon losses, but I remember the Atlanta one seeming pretty flukey. Trust me, the Niners are much closer to the team that kicked the shit out of us than they are to the team that lost to Atlanta.

That said, if you can somehow get them out of their run game, you have a chance. I am not so sure I have much faith in us being able to do that, because you either have to be able to stop the run, or get out to a big lead. Not sure we are going to do either of those things against the Niners. If they win this weekend, which they should, they will be in first place. I have read enough of your posts to know you think we are a pretty good team. Hard to say they aren't then, right?

November 10th 1990. I remember both of those loses. I listened to them lose to Colorado earlier in the year. I could be wrong, but that six point loss ended with us failing on 4th and goal, I believe. The Bruins beat us on the ground, which was crazy. Beat us at home 25 to 22. Trying to find an actual box score, and this seems to be the best I can get from Google.

Also found this.
1990, UCLA 25, at UW 22 — The once-beaten Huskies harbored serious national championship aspirations when they entered this late-season game ranked No. 2 in the polls and listed as 21-point favorites, with a crowd of 71,925 filling up Husky Stadium. However, UCLA's Brad Daluiso ended this one with a 43-yard field goal with 10 seconds for the win. With 2:36 left, the Huskies tied the game at 22 on Mario Bailey's 32-yard touchdown catch and Mark Brunell's conversion run. The UW even got the ball back once more, but Brunell threw an interception that led to Daluiso's kick.

Yeah the Huskies really weren't that good when I drunkenly cheered them on from the Student section from 87-89 but will never forget those amazing times and of course the 92 Rose Bowl was the pinnacle.
