Adams was into it watching the game today. lol

Do we give him another week off Sunday to ensure he is fully healthy after the bye?
I saw that, missed him out there today.

I'd say "yes," we'll need him later on in the season.

The Seahawks Draft Blog guy noticed a change in defensive approach. It was clear that the Hawks were about through allowing deep plays over the top... so they kept everything in front of them. Essentially they rushed 3 or 4 and gave big cushions to the exterior wideouts knowing that as the field shortened it would be harder for the Dolphins to make plays and score when the field shortened nearer the red zone. The Washington Huskies employ this strategy against the Cougars in the Apple Cup. It's virtually the same defense... but UW also typically has stellar corners and quality pass rushing... at least thus far (outside of Shaq who is playing better), we don't.

Here was his quote:

"Shaquill Griffin looked a lot better. (true he did, he's much more comfortable as a zone corner... he made a lot of plays today)Tre Flowers was much more comfortable(yeah, he looked about as comfortable as a dead corpse out there... there's something to be said about giving a wideout a cushion... but a 10-yard gap between him and the wideout is a joke... he lost and this defense doesn't work if you have corners who can't break on the ball when it's thrown beneath). There were no glaring issues in the secondary (bullshit, his name is Tre Flowers) and the linebackers appeared a lot more free to roam, read and make plays."

Dunbar cannot come back soon enough. He's actually made for this kind of defense. One of the better off-man cover corners.

Alton Robinson needs to play a lot more.

They still need to go out and trade for a pass rusher because Demontre Moore and Benson Mayowa are useless.

Our defensive interior is just fine.

I think this defensive style is sustainable with Adams and Dunbar back + getting a new edge rusher.

They have to give him another week. Too valuable. We don’t want this to trouble him all season.

Neal looked pretty good. Pass rush is the real loss with Adams.

Let him heal!!

Good post. We can’t make it all year with this set of DEs. You say Moore and Benson are useless, I think Colliercis faaarrrr more useless than Benson. Collier is crap.

We have to trade or get Clay.

We had zero penalties that cost us yards today.
And one of the two flags we did get was a pooch screw by the ref. So we've actually a zero penalty game in the past, didn't know that, even though I was at the 2007 game.

Rams are beating the Giants buy our halftime score of 17-9 but it looks like that will end up being the final.

The Vikings won their first game today in the battle of winless teams. We should be able to beat them, if the defense gives us half a chance. Russell should have a good game against them. Let Adams take another week off.
