Because we had HOF center Britt who couldn't play T or G either.IStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 7:33 pmI'll call him a bust once he plays center and fails.
In his college career he had 37 starts... 8 were at guard... 1 was at tackle... the rest center.
Why take him out of his natural position?

Re: Official 2020 NFL Draft thread
Rob Stanton got really upset at me yesterday when I said Justin Britt has been an average center in the NFL who didn't deserve his second contract after failing at guard and tackle. He got doubly upset when I slandered Britt's name by suggesting he would have been available in round 4 and the Hawks reached on him in the 2nd round when he was projected rounds 5 to undrafted.D-train wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 7:37 pmBecause we had HOF center Britt who couldn't play T or G either.IStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 7:33 pmI'll call him a bust once he plays center and fails.

Why take him out of his natural position?Freakin Clown car of an O line the past 5 years.
Ironically he interviewed one of the main analysts at PFF... I wonder why he didn't go after that dude for twice giving Britt a grade below 55 for a season...
He called Britt "a pillar of consistency"... yeah OK buddy.
His mock draft has the Hawks trading back twice and drafting Robert Hunt in the middle of the second round... once again drafting an offensive line prospect that can likely be had in the 3rd round with a pick we acquire trading back.
He was probably upset that I told him I'd be pissed if the Hawks reached on him in the early 2nd round... which started it all.

Just amazes me how so many of these guys whose JOB it is to be educated about this stuff are complete fails......IStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 7:41 pmRob Stanton got really upset at me yesterday when I said Justin Britt has been an average center in the NFL who didn't deserve his second contract after failing at guard and tackle. To paraphrase The Pro if I see one more mention of the Hawks infatuation the The Senior bowl I am going to lose my shit. Most of these guys have played 40-50 college game and they are going to focus on one practice game???? But hey what do I know. Seems they unearthed a HOFer in Collier at the Gold mine of talent at the Senior Bowl last year.
Seattle Seahawks: Josh Uche, DE/LB, Michigan
I would be shocked if the Seahawks remain at No. 27. They always trade down, so here's another instance in which they'll do so. They can then obtain someone like Josh Uche in the 35-45 range.
Rob Stanton of SeahawksDraftBlog.com did a great job of breaking down what the Seahawks look for in the draft. The Seahawks tend to select players who thrive at the Senior Bowl. Uche was certainly one of the winners at Mobile, and he compares to Bruce Irvin, whom the Seahawks selected in the first round long ago.

Re: Official 2020 NFL Draft thread
I personally don't get the Uche hype to the Hawks... he's a 6'1 outside linebacker. How many guys have the Hawks consistently rushed off the edge who are 6'1 in this history of us watching a Pete Carrol led football team? They already have Griffin as a situational edge who is essentially the same player as Uche.
He's a tweener at a position where the Hawks always have a bookend on one side and a freak rusher on the other.

But he was great at the Senior Bowl!!! playing against O linemen that have never played together in their lives.....IStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 8:18 pmI personally don't get the Uche hype to the Hawks... he's a 6'1 outside linebacker. Re: Official 2020 NFL Draft thread
I didn't realize there was Uche hype to the Hawks out there. I took him in my draft because he was one of the highest rated players available at that point and the blurb on him said he was good dropping back into coverage and decent in rush D (as well as his pass rush skills) so he seemed like an heir apparent to Wright. That's all i was going on because i've never seen him play (and i didn't have time to do extensive research on him).

We and the draft experts might be evaluating this class of EDGE rushers. They don't have the flashy combine numbers but they all have good size and produced in college.
There could be some surprises there.

I believe Pauline is pretty high on him. Uche's stock has been steadily rising. I don't see the hype to the Seahawks either.
Count me in as a DT/RB(R. Davis/CEH)early if the board falls that way. Can't wait until Thursday. The NFL Draft is literally my favorite day of the year!
Go Hawks!
P.S. Rob Staton* can seem like a bully sometimes. But he's created a non profit thread of the best Seahawks content around. Hard to be mad with all of that for free.
