But the Falcons can pounce any time and they just watched it. So bizarre....
Okay, that's what I thought. Geezus, what the fuck were they doing!? I'd be irate as hell if I'm a Falcons fan.
The only thing I can figure is that they didn't think it was going to go the ten yards and didn't want to risk jumping on it and having it pop out or something but still, just idiotic.

Remember what I said last week about teams needing a TD to tie or win dinking and dunking until time is almost gone and giving themselves only one chance to throw the ball into the end zone? Sure enough, the Giants did that today, dinking and dunking until they reached the 13 yard line with four seconds left on a three yard pass. And then on the last play they didn't even throw the ball into the end zone. That just makes absolutely zero sense yet teams constantly do that.
Saw that and thought of you. They gained four yards on their second to last play and then as you said didn't even throw it into the end zone with four seconds left!!!

It looks like the Cardinals are going to throttle Washington which means the NFC West will soon be 6-1.

I'm just glad it's them and not us. Yes, the ball could pop out if they try to pounce on it but it's better to take a risk than not try at all. Epic special teams failure by Atlanta.

Did they have their own version of Jacob Hollister to throw it to on the final play?

At least Hollister was running a crossing pattern and had momentum. The Giant receiver ran to the two yard line, shoved the defender, then stood there facing the quarterback. Another defender got there and knocked the pass down and would have tackled him if the receiver catches the ball. The receiver was flagged for PI anyway but just really stupid football. At least the Falcons only did one dumb thing.

Some really bad football by both teams that occupy Metlife Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Chargers are looking good so far against the defending SB champs. Former Zero Herbert starting his very first game and even scored his first rushing TD.

I think they should go with Prince's idea and call themselves the Washington Football team formally known as the Redskins...
