Re: Around the League
Some of us got accused of being too tough on the Seahawks last week, which was probably fair,
but the Chiefs fans on their chat have given up midway through the second quarter.
This chat is insane. By the time you read one page, you are 3-4 pages behind.

Re: Around the League
This is something about football that is INCREDIBLY stupid, and everybody does it. The Ravens did this yesterday.
With under 20 seconds left you need a touchdown to tie or win the game and you've just crossed midfield. For some baffling nonsensical reason, every time they'll throw a sideline dink to get themselves five to ten yards closer.
WHY? Why only give yourself one opportunity to throw the ball into the end zone? If you've got enough time to launch two, or even three Hail Marys into the end zone, why only choose to limit yourself to one that's only five to ten yards closer? That makes ZERO sense and yet everyone does it that way.
Yesterday the Ravens were at the Squeeler 39 yard line with 16 seconds left. That's enough time for two shots at the end zone. So what do they do? Throw a sideline dink to Andrews for a nine-yard gain that burned seven seconds off the clock. So now they only had one shot.
And then because that wasn't stupid enough, Jackson for some reason held onto the ball and ended up getting sacked. I really wonder if they do it this way because QBs want to reduce the chances of throwing an interception and hurting their stats.

The only thing I can think is that the QB can't throw it that far so they need to get closer?DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 08, 2025 8:17 pm

Even from the 40-yard line it's going to be less than a 50-yard toss. Tom Brady can probably still throw one that far.Michael K. wrote: ↑Mon Dec 08, 2025 8:33 pmThe only thing I can think is that the QB can't throw it that far so they need to get closer?DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 08, 2025 8:17 pm

Sanders named the starting QB for CLE. He should salvage their season.

Nothing will salvage it, but the better question might be....why was he third string? He sure looks better than Gabriel. That move was all about ego. You don't start Joe Flacco because you want to win, then scrap that as soon as they did, and then sputter with Gabriel, only to be FORCED to go to the guy that makes them actually look like an NFL offense. They drafted Gabriel before Sanders, so they played him before Sanders. Not sure why it matters, I mean, you drafted Sanders too!douche wrote: ↑Mon Dec 08, 2025 10:51 pmSanders named the starting QB for CLE. He should salvage their season.![]()

Thank God that's over with lol. Yeah, Darnold, I know. I want to believe, but the whole Yip City when the pocket isn't perfect, a play breaks down or God Forbid he has to improvise with his legs totally soils my diaper. It's like when Gumby or Mr. Bill gets surprised, "Oh No!"Nwadventure wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 8:47 pmlol. We survived. Damn Darnold. Safe trip. Bring an emergency poncho if you are going to the game, things are getting wet around here.
