So, in your conspiracy theory, he was extended to make it easier to sell the team, but you also think the new owner will fire him...so, why would extending him make it easier to sell? It has no bearing at all, besides giving you more ridiculous shit to use as an arguing point you will later claim you had no opinion in...was just sharing.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Aug 15, 2025 5:48 pmWhat's lol about it, we are talking about positioning to sell a multi billion dollar operation. And that's really what her duty is, maximize value.

| didn't say a new owner would, l said they could. selling a team tends to be a point where a FO is changed. Jody isnt the owner, she is the executor, her duty is to sell the team, the ultimate sale has to be part of what is being considered. Its like a remodel when you are going to be selling anyway, Its not considered practical. They changed coaches, but | could see leaving the FO alone. That in fact is my opinion though im not interested in arguing about itMichael K. wrote: ↑Fri Aug 15, 2025 5:52 pmSo, in your conspiracy theory, he was extended to make it easier to sell the team, but you also think the new owner will fire him...so, why would extending him make it easier to sell? Exactly, the new owner can do what ever the fuck they want, so extending John Schneider matters not at all to if they do or don't sell the team. Again, you are talking circles so you can remain completely unopinionated and not be called out. It was a fucking mistake to extend a guy who has seen over the regression of this team. I didn't say fire him, I didn't force him out...I didn't say any of that shit. But he didn't deserve an extension.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Aug 15, 2025 6:55 pm

He was a bright young executive that had never been a GM before he got here. There are plenty of successful franchises out there right now that may have the next bright young mind...but we'll never know because our fear of change forces us to accept just missing the playoffs. Don't be bad, but don't be good either.
14 teams now make the playoffs. So? As it seems, being just above mid is all this ownership group cares about. Extending him sent the wrong message, was the wrong move, and should have never happened. And claiming it is to help her sell the team is just flat out stupid. Why would the new owner be thrilled that the guy that has lead them to a 35 and 33 record and 0 and 1 in the playoffs his last four years was given a five year extension?
What part of that screams extension? Let me stop you before you tell me that you don't want to argue it, and yet still comment, simply to tell me that Jody wanted to. I don't give a shit what she wanted, she was wrong. It was a dumb move. Throw in the brutal home playoff loss to a Donald less Rams team led by a two fingered QB? This team is 35 and 35 in it's last 70 games. Fuck, extend everyone.
