Re: Official Draft pick position watch thread
Can't wait to see what his PFF grade will be.
All our hand-wringing about where Denver will end up in the standings may be for naught as Johnny boy is just as likely to trade down from a top 5 pick as not. But i guess he can get more or better picks back for a #2 than for a #5. Just expect to be disappointed one way or the other. He could draft Anderson and he could turn out to be a rock-climbing enthusiast and suffer a terrible injury after falling trying to scale the Matterhorn this off-season. This is the Seahawks were talking about here.

If we have a 2 or 3 pick I don't see how we could trade back and have it make sense UNLESS the trade partner his two 1st round picks.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Dec 26, 2022 3:01 pmCan't wait to see what his PFF grade will be.

Lions have a 7th and a 18th which are valued at 1500 and 900.
The second pick is worth 2600 and the third is worth 2200 so a trade could work possibly there if the Lions wanted to trade up for a QB.

Trading back makes perfect sense for a number of reasons. As the game changes and injuries are arguably the number one problem for every team anymore, and this will only worsen with the elimination of preseason for those completely unecessary 17th and 18th games, which is more valuable to a team, star players (expensive) that are at risk of injury and the loss of that asset, or having greater roster depth?
I think that is the future of the league. That's what people need to start thinking about. In the NFC West alone, 75% of the starting QB's are gone. SF, AZ and LA are all on 3rd and 4th string QB's. The risk of losing a high end pick is a reality. So, why not consider quantity over quality? Two players can potentially exceed the production of one. It's a strategy to consider when you look at the direction of the league and realize attrition is really the biggest problem. Look at Denver.

QBR of 3.6 out of 100? Yikes! At this rate, people will be asking his company to buy back the merchandise it sold to them!

Re: Official Draft pick position watch thread
can we talk about how bad Russ has been and why? I know he's been declining in recent years, and there's all the theories about lack of focus, but that doesn't explain why he suddenly can't throw for shit. His lack of mobility can be age, his decision making maybe partly due to the new scheme, but just looking at his throws looking very un-Russell Wilson-like. Just last year he completely obliterated all other QBs at the Pro Bowl skills challenge with his accuracy. That was only like 10 months ago!! His deep ball was always beautiful. He almost never threw interceptions because he'd just hit the open guy.
But THIS year? His deep balls are falling short or wide of the mark. He's throwing high and missing wide open receivers. He's forcing things instead of taking what the defense gives. It's fucking crazy.
Is his confidence shot??
I haven't seen a decline this rapid since Shaun Alexander signed his big contract.

Perhaps you should consult with the leading expert on the topic. LOLSeattleAddict wrote: ↑Mon Dec 26, 2022 5:36 pmcan we talk about how bad Russ has been and why?
