This is why you don't trade DK before this season:
So why Grubb’s scheme be a good fit for Smith-Njigba and Seattle’s other weapons in the passing game?

“He understands how to get guys matchups,” Huard said. “… The NFL is about matchups, and you saw that (in the Super Bowl) – both of those teams just tried to, as a playcaller, scheme to get to a matchup I can take advantage of. And that and therein is the biggest connection that Ryan Grubb has to the NFL because he’s a top-five motion/move/shift guy before the snap in college football.”

Wasnt that Pete's formal title previously? IF there was EVER any remaining doubt about who was really calling the shots, this title change for JS demonstrably erases it.

That was Pete's title, and exactly why many of us held him more accountable for some of the dumb ass moves that were made. Pete was JS's boss, so believing that he had no say in personnel moves is ludicrous.

Good for John I'm glad for him. Now if he can only get us some OL help & some LBs we'd be set.

Of course he had say in personal, he had final word on his roster. But he didn't do JS's job for him. There was a reason he wanted a GM. He wasn't belichick, he didn't want to do the talent acquisition.
