I guess the 10 mil per year for Brooks in the market shows how good he really is.
He was making 12 mil this year.

Just not a huge fan of Brooks. Limited player.
So happy he is gone. Keeping him would have been hanging on to that massive mistake drafting him in the 1st place.

Fant - 2 years, $21 mil
Wow. Crazy amount for him
Not crazy - he was a first round pick for a reason - better receiver than he has been utilized so far at either Denver (because of QB play) or here (due to playcalling). If you watched any UW games last two years you saw how Grubb finds the TE in the passing game, even while having stud wideouts to share targets - Dawgs and Hawks were similar that way.
Exactly, they chose to retain the best TE of the 3. Love this move as well.

I think John saw the regression of Lewis and let him walk.

Got some oline work to do.
yeah, interesting to see how much our Hawks are going for - 4-yrs $53M seems not a huge overpay for Lewis - could have matched if we wanted.
Grubb's running game features a lot of pulling OL and not sure that is Damien's forte - better in a phone booth.

curious to see how much cap left after the Fant and Leonard deals - should have at least $20k but need $4k of that for the draft.
IF they target Queen as everyone thinks, that shrinks down considerably, although Brooks didnt break the bank so maybe Queen doesnt either.

LB, G, S still huge holes to fill. fortunately those latter two are deep in the draft.
You misspelled M. :)

I couldn't be happier with who we kept and who we let walk. Looking forward to seeing how they spend the rest of the cap space on external FAs though.

Damien Lewis is probably getting overpaid by Carolina, but he actually had a decent season last year. He had the highest PFF grade of all the Seattle interior linemen if not the entire O line.

Yeah he is the one where I felt a twinge of pain but he is the only one. The number of Brooks Groupies on X acting like we just lost the second best LB in Hawks history is just bizarre. They want to keep the Band together even though the Band sucked last season to save money.

I just checked and he Lewis only had a 59.6 grade, but that was still good for 2nd to Cross' 67.6. That's how bad the line was (according to PFF).

Queen was 73.1 and Brooks was at 57.3 and Queen is two years younger but people want Brooks back to save $5m a season.
