Training Camp thread
Re: Training Camp thread
Connor Williams is a freaking stud. 2nd highest PFF rating for a Center in the NFL. Please God let us sign him.

Re: Training Camp thread
With Connor and a healthy Lucas the Seahawks would be good to elite at three of the o-line positions. I still don't feel good about Laken and Bradford though so hopefully Haynes gets up to speed soon.

At least the Guards could get help on occasion from the 3 superior linemen on each side of them.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 7:10 pmWith Connor and a healthy Lucas the Seahawks would be good to elite at three of the o-line positions. Yup, super happy with the signing, but maybe new offense, new schemes, new coaching staff, new everything with Olu in year two was a lot to ask. This is a big-time sign to keep Geno safe to run the offense while they settle on what works. One year deal, yes?Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 10:41 pmWell, it's sort of good news and sort of not because it means they are afraid to go into the season with Olu at center and most of us had hoped he would be able to take the mantle and hold down the position at least through his rookie contract. Now it looks like they will sign Williams to a one year deal (and be back in the same situation in a year) or they will have to go with a riskier multi-year deal and hope he returns to close to 100% off the surgery. I'm also wondering if they'll need to restructure or cut someone to clear cap space.

Thought a one year deal wasn't realistic. I don't think it was as hard to sign him as was speculated. Probably with rosters being set and injury concern

Olu must be sucking it up.

Re: Training Camp thread
Seems there was a worse worst case for him
Worst Case Scenario
Far from the most athletic center, Oluwatimi struggles early in the season facing off against several quality defensive lines after winning the starting job, leading to new line coach Scott Huff plugging Harris into the lineup midway through the year. With Harris starting the remainder of the season, the second-year center's future with the Seahawks becomes more clouded.

He doesn't own a scale?
Jackson says when looking at old game tape he sometimes believes he is both overweight and not as fast as he should be.
"I was fat," Jackson told Jonathan Jones of CBS. "I just saw a video from two years ago, against the Browns, and I looked out of shape."
