Things to never say when trying to support your opinion about the NFL draft. "The Raiders did it too!"
Or the media had no cameras on him!
No cameras means he wasn't invited to the draft. So, stop focusing on the cameras and start focusing on the fact that us and the Raiders are the only two teams that took a kid that would have been at home during the draft because he wasn't projected to go yet. And don't give me this "some mocks had him" bullshit. I saw mocks that had us taking a Qb in round two! BUT, based on yesterday, I assume we will go Punter and QB tonight.

Director of the Senior Bowl aint posting nonsense:

Image
So, he ran a sub 4.5 forty at the Senior Bowl, and somehow the only proof of this is a tweet with a picture from Texas Tech?

Yeah well, that day he didn't go through his full stretch process, so it is actually a 4.39. Pretty soon there are going to be reports of this kid running a digital 4.2 backwards with a late start.

I betcha BBK thinks he could have run faster too. Next time he should just say he didn't get to practice the sprint so let's just shave a bit off.

Again, I want you to imagine that you were on recovery from injury and couldn't train for the combine... hadn't run for 5 months and then picked up running for the first time a week before the event.

Do you think you would run faster or slower if you had the opportunity to train vs not?

This seems like super easy logic to surmise he probably runs faster than what he showed...

Even so... what he showed was really damn fast 4.54 40 as a linebacker is very, very good.

So, you ask "don't you think you could run faster?" Think, could have, might be....blah blah.

I asked you to show me anything showing me he ever has run faster. You looked at his time, decided that since he hadn't been training he could just run faster....then showed a picture of a stop watch trying to say he has. The thing is, there is nothing saying he has. Maybe he will....does that make him a first rounder now? Does it all of a sudden make him a pass rusher? Does it all of a sudden improve his coverage skills? Great, he makes tackles for losses. That is fine and good....our issue is third and long!

Once again, you get to make up forty times, yet his ten extra lbs makes him completely different body type than the guy they got about 130 picks later last year. :?

And yes, 4.54 is fast for a LB. What did Griffin run last year again?

Here's a hint.
On Saturday, Griffin had one of the most impressive showings of any prospect in any event when he had 20 reps on the bench press with a prosthetic hand. On Sunday, Griffin once again provided the biggest moment of the day when he ran the fastest 40-yard dash for a linebacker since 2003 with a time of 4.38 seconds.Mar 4, 2018
Your boy needs to do more than simply run a few sprints!

I'm not sure why everyone here keeps posting that Jordyn Brooks is a total head scratcher of a pick in the 1st round. And DT... this weird stuff about drafting a guy with a "girly" name is pretty out of left field. If you're joking, cool... but 3 straight posts about a guy having a girl name who is a fkn dude on the football field, a real leader, one of the better hitters in the draft is just so off-the-wall...

1. As I posted a few times now, he was on Green Bay's radar with their first selection at 30 if Jordon Love wasn't available.

2. Cincinnati reporter said rumors had the Bengals possibly taking him at 33 and said he'd go ahead of Patrick Queen because Queen is undersized and unpolished in a lot of areas.

3. Verified account dude on Twitter spoke to 15 higher ups in NFL evaluation and he said that every one had Brooks listed as their 1-3 ILB.

4. Mel Kiper had Brooks listed as his number one linebacker for a while, but changed it due to his shoulder injury and inability to work out. He had a first round grade on him but moved him to second round as a result.

5. CBS, as Donn has pointed out, had him as a late 1st round pick in one of their recent drafts.

6. Peter Schraeger (who I typically don't like care for) had him going late in the 1st round of his mock draft.

7. Pete says he's a versatile, complete linebacker who can also play outside... my hunch is that's what they're going to do with him.

8. His 20 tackles for loss at the linebacker position are exactly what Seattle has been missing... he's a stellar athlete who has a nack for creating negative plays in the backfield. I think the Hawks are less than sold on KJ Wright's future. I had the Hawks taking a linebacker in Justin Strnad in the 5th round of my first few mock drafts and then Malik Harrison in the 3rd round of my recent mock drafts for that very reason.
Jokin brother.....

So if he is so fast what can't he rush the passer or cover big slow rumblin TEs?
