again...he wasn't used in a system that had him rushing the passer...you don't want to believe it okay. We shall see, i do not see any particular reason why he shouldn't be capable of rushing a passer. 20 tackles for a loss speaks to something
Brooks did more pass rushing in his final collegiate season thanks in part to a change in the defensive scheme brought on by new coach Matt Wells. Wells came over from Utah State, where he previously coached Seahawks middle linebacker Bobby Wagner. Brooks recorded 20 tackles for loss in his final season at Texas Tech, including three sacks.

“This past year they changed schemes, and he was really in a position where he was a lot of the time responsible for the quarterback and would chase the quarterback and spy him,” Carroll said. “He was up in the line of scrimmage and pressuring, so we’ve seen him do a variety of things that give him the scope of ability to play inside or outside for us.”

It's not brain surgery. He's going to have a hard time on the edge for the same reasons as Griffin. Remember when he was supposed to be a heat seeking missile and provide pass rush? And Griffin is faster than this guy.

They are both liabilities in coverage and can be blocked by a back or TE because of their size. A T gets their hands on them they are done. Brooks doesn't have the ideal size to play outside . There are exceptions to every rule but as if now he is best suited to play inside. Situationally outside. KJ Wright is 6'4" 250 . That's a OLB . Irvin is 6'3 250 . That's an OLB.

How in the hell is Brooks going to cover Kittle or Juscyzk? Hell Hawks just drafted a 6"7" TE .

They keep drafting these undersized LBs and wonder why they can't make the field .

How about this guy as our double digit sack guy this season. That's less than $1,000 a sack. lol
Defensive end/linebacker Eli Mencer, Albany: Mencer was reported to have gotten an $8,000 bonus to sign with Seattle by Mark Singelais of the Albany Times Union. Mencer is listed at 6-1, 229.
