SH and I are the only two that picked both correctly today. If SH picks the SB right he will be PERFECT for the entire playoffs. Captain just needs to pick the SB winner to win it all.

figuring the odds are about even for either team, i figure i have a roughly 25% chance of overtaking Captain - just need to surmise which team he will pick, and choose the opposite. nice to have some sort of rooting interest at least.

You should challenge him to a duel of 20 questions. You should be able to deduce who he is picking after about 10. lol

Tough day for Michael what with the Purdy injury and the officiating in the Cin-KC game. :x :P

You are correct. If you assume both our choice of winner and the results of the game as 50/50 coin flips, that means We have a 50% chance of picking different teams multiplied by a 50% chance of you picking the correct winner = 25% of both happening.

I honestly don't even know who I am picking yet so that probably wouldn't help.

Man, have you ever seen a blow out with more what ifs? No clue why the Niners didn't challenge the 4th down catch in the first half. It would have been their ball...instead? First and goal. Then? If the idiot back up QB just falls on the ball it's second and long and at worse they go into the half down one score set to get the second half kickoff. But who knows? Maybe they even get into FG range?

But the worst of it was the TD drive to fall behind 14 to 7. I think they had like 5 penalties over the course of 12 plays. That is TERRIBLE. And while I know Shannahan and the 9ers were pissed about them, they all seemed pretty legit. That game could have been 7 to 0 Niners at the half...and that was about what I would have expected. With Purdy.

The Bengals? They did it to themselves also. All the griping about the extra plays. Well, the ref blew the play dead and the DB DID in fact hold the WR. But even so? The Bengals got the ball back anyway...and they converted a 3rd and long to be in great position to march down and score. They just decided not to block Chris Jones. I realize there were some calls that many are questioning, but as a guy without a rooting interest I didn't think the Bengals got screwed. They are just a stupid team.

Some real dumb penalties yesterday in both games. Not smart football. Anyone see the Eagles Special Teamer throw a punch? What an idiotic 15 yarder. But the Bengal LB made him look like a member of the Mensa Club! Speaking of smart, I find it odd that a smart guy like Shannahan didn't just decide to put CMC or Debo in the Wildcat the rest of the game. I've seen CMC throw, and he would have been a better throwing threat than Purdy in the second half. The Eagles knew they weren't throwing, so at least in the WC you get an extra blocker. That said, CMC threw a TD pass once already this year. I'd take my chances with him over Purdy with a fucked up elbow. They threw one pass the entire second half and that was a screen pass where two blockers ran right passed the LB.

Sorry, you aren't winning that way, unless you can establish numbers. Probably aren't going to win no matter what, but they had no shot with Purdy just standing back there handing the ball off against a loaded box.

Ok Captain, leaning into DT's suggestion; here are the first two questions:

1. Are you picking KC?
2. Are you picking Philly?
