Some people decide from the beginning that a player or a coach or a GM or a President can either do no right or do no wrong and no matter what they do they either always get credit or always get blame. I prefer to judge each move on its own merit. Not quite as simplistic or easy but not that difficult either and worth the effort when trying to accurately assess someone's success or lack thereof over time.

Yep, drafting a guy with character issues shouldn't ever be mentioned. Lots of teams passed on the guy, and were proven correct. Funny how you jump down people's throats for being homers when you are critical, yet won't get over it on this one. Nice strawman though. Find anyone that wanted JS or PC fired.

As for drafting a back. Sorry, if you use a first round pick on a guy that can't crack the top two on the depth chart for half the season then criticism is justified. Every team goes through injuries....I thought this organization drafted BPA? Sounds like you are saying they drafted for need.

If every first round pick was justified because guys could get injured, then what is the point ever discussing the draft? Every pick is warranted, because even if the guy isn't good enough to start, you might have needed the depth.

It isn't negative fans criticizing those picks....it is just about everyone but a few in here. Which is fine, but your constant holier than though stance is annoying as shit. I will await your next post telling me how I just don't get it and I should stop calling for the firing of everyone in the FO.

Specifically - what character issues? Only one I ever remember hearing was 'takes plays off'. Please tell me, and be specific, what all the flaws were.
And if that is your basic gripe, that he took plays off, you must be steaming mad about the Clowney acquisition - right? he has the exact same reputation. SO, again, if you could please post the specific "character flaws"(none were drugs, or violence or ANYTHING illegal) that he had - and if you could please note the ones that specify 'likely to get in a career ending ATV accident', i would greatly appreciate the insight. Also, can you please confirm, or deny your anger at the Clowney acquisition - because he comes with the exact same 'label' as the ATV guy. So, how much to you hate that move? This (non answer) should be gold! :P

Honestly, I'm just goofing - I don't believe you're all as angry at the FO as you pretend to be over these moves. And when put in context with the massive wins the FO has hd, complaining about losses just rings hollow. They are winning this by a mile - that should be the take away. This is one of the best franchises in sports right now

I can't believe you guys are arguing about semantics when the Seahawks DEs are Clowney and Ansah. Get to see them play in 5 days. BTW... Cincys line is horrible.

Use Google on your own. Your go to argument when getting pissed at guys being critical of the draft is to call them out wanting a laundry list of reasons. Type his name into Google on your own. Do you honestly think a guy said to be a top 10 pick fell that far for no reason?

Trust me, I am amped. Just grow tired of aurora's BS about how I want the FO fired over McDowell and Penny. I pull no punches, I believe the FO whiffed on those two picks, and believe they had enough information, more than me, to not whiff. End of story.

Tired of hearing we cant say anything about the draft until we can give a detailed thesis on what should have been done different. How anyone can watch McDowell's actions now and say the character issues were no issue is beyond me.

For christ sake, this a post about Clowney...and he can't help but throw out McDowell and Penny? One of those guys will never play an NFL down and the other is our backup RB.

So, yeah, it is annoying. And he is probably doing it on purpose, which is even more stupid.
