The problem with Geno
Re: The problem with Geno
I think most everyone knew that Geno 'wasn't the guy'. That said, the author thinks that Lock is not a better option.
And as Michael has stated, Pete is happy with the way things are. I am too, mostly, but would just like to see some more variety on the offensive side and some game time adjustments.
Another interesting article regarding the drafting of Penix, although the current Seahawks regime isn't all that fond of drafting first round QBs.

You must not be on Twitter/X. If anyone dares post the slightest criticism of Geno they are instantly branded a HATER! You would think he was born and raised in Seattle, his donated one of his kidneys to a dying child and won 5 SBs given the passion of his groupies. Reminds me of Kelenic's groupies.douche wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 4:51 pmI think most everyone knew that Geno 'wasn't the guy'. That said, the author thinks that Lock is not a better option.

That being KJ WrightSeahawks Legend ‘Surprised’ Pete Carroll Called out Geno Smith
“He was a little more consistent last year,” Carroll said. “I think we saw a little more consistency game-to-game.”
Re: The problem with Geno
One year wonder. Crashing back to the Geno Norm
No expectations last year. Got paid and have expectations. And poof back to Geno.

Wow, I hadn't heard this. Can't even believe they test QBs.

Geno now 18th in QB rating and 20th in QBR. Officially a below average QB.

It feels quite a bit worse than that. Today's complaints -D-train wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 12:01 pmGeno now 18th in QB rating and 20th in QBR. Officially a below average QB.

His body language is now the body language of a loser. Pouting. Sullen. This is contagious.
He has no plan or ability to mitigate the damage when it's obvious the pass protection has failed. He just eats the sack and pouts.
He is looking for one receiver only after the ball is snapped. This leads to impossible receptions and picks. I'm not sure who is to blame, but yesterday he was keying on DK and DK wasn't open. If you are a below average QB and in a shit storm, Tyler Lockett is the guy you should lean on. Lockett is the guy that can work the sideline. DK sucks at it. Second to lean on would be JSN. Put Bobo in the game and I bet he's open over 50% of the time and he'll catch it. Start spreading it around better and DK will then be open. I'm not anti DK, but thinking the key to winning is getting DK more catches it fucking wrong.
Run more.
