thinking, one of the things guys like Brown get good at is playing one against another, the GM against the coach, everybody has to get on the same page in dealing with him, it can be difficult. There is none of that with the Pats. There is a only one guy running things, at all starts and stops with Belichick, and he is a hard ass. I can see where that simplifies things in dealing with the hard cases they bring in

The Cleveland Browns and Seattle Seahawks also considered attempting to sign Brown on Saturday, according to sources, although the Patriots were always considered the front-runner.
