Even in the first half when Seahawks couldn't keep a lead or get it into the endzone, I thought the offense looked pretty decent.

On defense the 10 yard underneath stuff is still a problem, but I don't think that'll ever change. Just part of the PC bend don't break concept, and his weird way of allowing the other team to burn lots of clock to fast-forward the game to the 4th quarter.

For a game that looked pretty blah for a while, 37 points and 428 total yards is pretty nice. We only punted once.

considering we were missing our entire O-Line and most of the defensive backfield, this was actually a pretty solid game. Far from perfect, but a solid W.

Anybody else notice Mafe was in the backfield all game? Think he got a sack early, but he was in Dalton's face all day. Mario Edwards and Jarran Reed had several good plays too.

I like the fact that the D only gave up 44 rushing yards, once again showing signs of a significant turnaround over last year. Witherspoon also contributed by leading the team with 11 tackles and 2 PDs.

I never truly realized how butt-fuckin' fugly Andy Dalton is. I'm glad we didn't draft him.

I donlt thing it has anything to do with allowing teams to burn clock or getting to the 4th quarter - it's about minimizing the risk of the big plays downfield and forcing the offense to execute. when you get closer to the goal line those routes don't exist. No one wants to lose the TOP battle. Better to give up a FG than a 60 yard TD. The problem is always staying in that base and allowing any competent QB to just make basic read-and-throw plays because you know where the mismatch is immediately - and it's almost ALWAYS going to be a TE/WR matched up on a LB. Jamal Adams may be the guy that can wreck those underneath routes with blitzes or coverage.
