Haven't come away with a win and felt this anxious since the Pete Carroll era. That was a shitty game. I feel bad for Minnesota's QB who is stuck with a injury plagued and lifeless offense. My god outside of the tight end Hockenson that whole unit was worthless. Add in the dudes who dropped good passes - hard to believe some of these guys are on an NFL roster. There really are some shitty players in the NFL right now.

My first reaction coming out of this game, is this is a one and done playoff team. That offense is so uninspiring it's hard to put into words. Does Minnesota really have that strong of a defense? Were we making adjustments beyond "hey defense, keep us in the game until we figure it out?" The number of games of completely inept offense is at a disturbing level. How about another tipped ball, Sam? How about another tight, bunch formation that is obviously a running play - featuring basically NO gaps - and run it into the middle of a scrum. I just don't understand what I am seeing.

Does Seattle have ANY play calls to counter a blitz? No screens? Nothing? Or do we only get to those in the second half when the crowd is on the verge of booing? Is anyone on the same page (besides Charbonnet) on blocking assignments? Is every game up to the defense? I can't believe the bumbling passing offense on display today - it was just so embarrassing - from a 9-3 team. Did Minnesots use 14 players on defense?

That Seahawk defense is electric - but let's acknowledge it was against the NFL's Oregon State - and not "in their prime' OSU. DId they even have a prime? lol Yeah, they did. Of course it can't be a Seahawks game without a mind numbing, absolutely fucking idiotic and pointless penalty - Emmanwori was today's Idiot du Jour. I hope there is internal punishment for him - beyond excusable. That's the exact shit that will extend a drive in the playoffs and haunt the team. JFC. No, the hit on Darnold wasn't remotely close to this, and Sam should be embarrassed for throwing up his arms begging for a penalty on that. Weak. Fucking. Sauce.

Seattle's dline is arguably the best in the league - all levels were balling out today but again - Oregon State.

Hearing the announcers trying to hard sell the "seattle's the best team in the NFL' narrative while The Darnold throws pass after pass after pass after pass into the hands of the defense and getting listlessly sacked.

I am having a difficult time comprehending what I saw today. DId the offense even prepare for this game?

This one left a really bad taste in my mouth - if Minnesota didn't have 11 turnovers and no starters playing, I fear how could have gone. I'm not sure who is to blame - Kubiak? The Darnold? Trump?

ANother week of an offense with no rhythm, no flow, just a stuttering, sputtering Volkswagon we cross our fingers doesn't break down on the way to Dick's on 45th.

As bad as Minnesota's offense looked today - look what they had to play with.

What the fuck is Seattle's excuse? An empty, lifeless offense showing zero growth or consistancy, The Darnold stumbling around, even had a brilliant Bradford sighting - whiffing on an assignment as he rushed off to block a ghost away from the play. Priceless.

I'll take the dub, but this team leaves me stressed - are we really going to rely completely on defense and special teams against any team with a competent defense?

Until I see something resembling competency, I cannot see this team making any kind of playoff run. I wasn't expecting one this season, but now the fucking Seahawk hype train has left the station - too bad this offense is likely to derail any real playoff threat this season. I want my money back from today and I didn't even go to the game. 219 yards of total offense. At least the running game is improving, or maybe the Minnesota defense just stopped caring. Macdonald is smart to play ultra conservative - the risk is too high.

Off to Atlanta who has a local Valet at QB next week. I am sure they will be favored, too.

Thank you. I was wondering maybe did Kubiak have something more important to do in the 1st half than watch the game on the field and adjust his play calling accordingly. Or maybe he secretly hates Darnold and was trying to get him killed?

The way they played today they not only would have lost to the Rams, but to at least half the the teams in the league.

I have a confession - I'm currently nearly as addicted to JSN highlights as I am Seahawks wins, so this game
left me underwhelmed, despite the shutout. The Minn QB was so bad it's a little hard to get fired up about the
defensive showing, although I'm still convinced they are top three, if not #1 defense.

Macdonald is totally fine with how they won today. He really doesn't see anything wrong with it. I should probably
be fine with it too, since they won.

I'm still very concerned about The Darnold. I consider this the 3rd game in a row he looked average at best, even
if he was kept on a short leash by the play calling. I will keep saying this. Sam needs to take off running occasionally.

Where's the mobility. This dude is one & done. Bring on Milroe. How long is he supposed to wait. He can't be as bad, right. At least he can move. If the first read isn't there, TAKE OFF!!! Or better yet CHECK THE BALL DOWN!! That simple. 1 read & go. 2 sec clock in your head. There's a reason Darnolds nothing more than a journeyman collecting a paycheck. How many teams have gave up on him. What would he have looked like had he stayed in Minny with KOC. He is not the future don't worry.

The Bears kicked the Eagles asses, the Lions lost at home....and we are upset about winning 26 to 0? Yikes.

It looked like they wanted to hit their usual deep balls, but after Darnold got drilled and fumbled inside our red zone for yet another in a long series of those sort of turnovers this season the coaching staff said hey, that's the only way those clowns are going to beat us so they went ultra-conservative for the rest of the game. No more turnovers, easy win.

Next week they'll likely go back to playing the way they want to against the Falcos and I'll bet that we light them up.

It will take more than that to win playoff games. Greg Olsen said it. It's one thing to avoid turnovers, but
you can't do it at the risk of being who you are. I understand winning is all there is, but at the same time,
you can't practice with live bullets and if you practice what we saw yesterday, that is what you become.
It will get beat when it counts.

Yup. And credit Macdonald (and Kubiak?) with being willing to win it ugly - that's smart coaching - playing the long game by correctly managing the current situation. You're on point about The Darnold - feels like 'games in a row' of struggles. After flashes of strong play, looks like the league has tape on the team and adjusted accordingly - why are we not doing the same thing? Or is going ultra conservative the response, while leaning on the D and field goals to bring it home? That doesn't feel sustainable. The Darnold is still the best option at QB, have no issue with that, so is it a Kubiak response we need? Is it The Darnold? Is it the line not knowing assignments? Are defenses doing to us what we are doing to them with disguises?

All I know is you cannot depend on your defense scoring to offset inefficiencies on offense. That's not a sustainable strategy. Then again, maybe with this defense, it is . It does feel like a very special unit - possibly the best in the league. They've really put together a great roster - even the offense is talented - Barner emerging as a threat and Rasheed will be a factor, IMO.

I don't get this notion that they won't be able to compete in the playoffs. They put up 27 points on Houston who is number 1 in the League in Yards allowed and points allowed. They were within inches of Beating the Rams who are number 2 in points allowed so obviously they can compete with them. Who are these mythical teams that supposedly have good defenses that we can't beat. If the Playoffs started today they'd be playing Tampa who they put up 35 points on and if they won that they'd be playing Chicago who has the 26th ranked Defense in The League.
