Day 2 Draft thread

So we pick a CB at 64, and Edge at 96 and a G at 188. What's the problem. lol

Possibilities from the Times:
Brandon Cisse, cornerback, South Carolina — Cisse is an athletic marvel who needs refinement as a true coverage cornerback. His athleticism stands out and would be strong in run support, but he will likely need time to develop as a pass defender.

D’Angelo Ponds, cornerback, Indiana — Ponds received plenty of attention playing for the national champions last season. He’s undersized at 5-foot-8 but plays bigger than his height. How he projects in the NFL is the question. His height might make it tough to play on the outside, which means he could end up as a slot corner.

Keionte Scott, cornerback, Miami — Scott is an older player who started at junior college before moving on to Auburn and eventually ending his career at Miami. His aggression is his strength, and he has run-defense skills that might fit well in coach Mike Macdonald’s system. The pass-coverage ability is the question.

Treydan Stukes, cornerback, Arizona — Stukes began his career as a walk-on but developed into a starter for the Wildcats. He’s an older player — he’ll turn 25 in September — and is a bigger cornerback who projects as a potential nickelback.

Derrick Moore, edge rusher, Michigan — Now why would a Michigan guy be of interest to this coaching staff? Oh, yeah: Macdonald was defensive coordinator for the Wolverines in 2021. Moore steadily improved throughout his college career and last season had 11 sacks and 21 hurries as an outside rusher. His best game last season, according to Pro Football Focus grading, came against Washington. Moore is a little undersized at 6-foot-3, 260 pounds, but his profile is similar to Boye Mafe.

Joshua Josephs, edge rusher, Tennessee — Josephs is undersized for the position he’s likely to play in the NFL, but he has room to grow into his frame. One of his biggest attributes is a wing span akin to an NBA player. Josephs will need refinement and might not be able to contribute right away.

A.J. Haulcy, safety, LSU — Haulcy is a traditional deep safety, and while the Seahawks liked what they got from Ty Okada last season, adding a little depth at the position would help after the departure of Coby Bryant. Safety isn’t a highly regarded position in this draft, and there’s a big drop after Haulcy.

i think Scott is likely to be there at 64, but not Cisse (one can only hope!) wouldnt mind Ponds either. but i think a bit more likely to go for the End first, and then nab the corner. Names i've heard connected are Gabe Jacas and RMason Thomas, either of whom might be there at 64 but not likely 96.

We have 12 2027 picks and there has been a lot of talk about trading a couple of them for 2026 picks or to move up from 64 and or 96. Supposed to be a great draft class next year. Imagine winning B2B SB titles and then having a dozen picks in a great draft. My God that would just be ecstasy. lol

How the fuck did KC get three picks in the top 40? Jesus.
One down year and they totally rebuild their D in one draft after pilfering our stud RB.

Stukes goes at 38 to the Cards. Thank God in Heaven I changed my pick back to Price.

I think Jermod McCoy CB will be the perfect Seahawk pick. The chip on his shoulder will be huge and his ability will fit in the CB room.

Keep him away from Jerry Jeudy, who does nothing but collect a paycheck
