Jersey numbers

Post by XpertDBA » Thu Apr 30, 2026 8:34 pm

I got a facebook story posted about the new Seahawks jersey numbers for the upcoming season.

Jadarian Price - 8, Julian Neal - 1, and Bud Clark - 9

It made me start wondering, who are the best players to ever play football, basketball and baseball with certain jersey numbers and I thought I would look into my favorite number 13 (my birthday in January).

It came up with Dan Marino, Wilt Chamberlain and Alex Rodriguez (with the Yankees), which I thought was a pretty strong trifecta.

Can anyone else come up with a stronger overall three?

OJ Simpson wore 32! Not sure what numbers Ted Bundy or Jeffrey Dalmer wore.

I wear 24 when I play, and I'll go with Willie Mays, Kobe Bryant, and Charles Woodson.

Amazing that he's in the second tier along with Barry Bonds and Rickey Henderson.

Multiple numbers for some of these guys.

And you neglected to mention this guy, an underrated two way player. Opposing players hating playing against him. A four time winner of the Frank J. Selke trophy (awarded to the league's best defensive forward), he also won 5 Stanley Cups.
