Run first and foremost as usual or Pass more tomorrow
Run first and foremost as usual or Pass more tomorrow
Rams Secondary was shredded by a QB that probably isn't good enough to pour RW a bowl of cereal. Should we stick to the plan or divert a bit to exploit their weakness. 55 points given up to TB at home. Still can't believe that.

Turnovers by Goff had more to do with that score than B7cs passing game. Defense needs to get pressure on him . Rams can be run on too.
Re: Run first and foremost as usual or Pass more tomorrow
Almost 400 passing yards though. Can't wait. Less than 33 hours to go.

Holy F! Shaquil Barrett is on pace for 36 sacks! Has more than 10 teams right now. UDFA.

In our last game against the Rams, we ran for 273 yards. I can see that being a reason to want to run against them.

Zero reason why we can't win this division. Mighty SF has beat anyone yet.Oso Dorado wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2019 6:04 pmIn our last game against the Rams, we ran for 273 yards. I can see that being a reason to want to run against them.

Was gonna say, sounds good until you remember how many points the Rams scored on us last year...even with us pounding the rock and controlling the clock.
The Rams defense wanted nothing to do with playing run defense against us in either game last year. And if our pass Russ and coverage is ANY better this year, maybe those single possession losses become wins?

The offensive line needs to get their shit together and help out the run game. They all are playing worse so far this season than last.
Re: Run first and foremost as usual or Pass more tomorrow
Here is our current rankings:
Scoring: 8th
Total Offense: 13th
Pass Offense: 11th
Run Offense: 16th
Scoring: 14th
Total D 8th
Pass D 16th
Run D 6th
In the top half in every category. Ironically the weaknesses are rush O and pass D. Opposite of LOB/Beastmode era.
Strength is Scoring offense and Run D and that is without Reed.

There are several reasons why Hawks can't win division. Starting tomorrow night. Two losses at home. Probably not winning the division. Will they continue to use quick passing game? Will they stay in base defense against the Rams, who not only stay in a 3 WR set but have one if the best slot receivers in the game in Kupp? Will they play sloppy? Penalties? Can they block Donald at all?
Really don't like this matchup. This game can define the season.
