Starting safeties

Post by Hasslecracked » Fri Oct 18, 2019 11:23 pm

Lano Hill is doubtful and McDougald is questionable.

If they don't play, our starting safeties will be Tedric Thompson and Marquise Blair. Uh oh

Maybe that's the magic combination. Blair was hyped up start of camp and Tedric " My Guy" Thompson has been playing much better.

Besides 2 great interceptions on tipped balls, what has Tedric done? I feel like he's awful in coverage and can't lay a big hit to save his life

He has to be in position to get those tipped balls and he had a great hit last season. He doesn't have to be a hard hitter to be a good safety.

The safety situation is bad. But I can't believe they're going into this game with 7 healthy offensive linemen (not counting Fluker who will not be 100%). They are an injury away from having to use either Hunt or Roos. I wonder if they would put Hunt at center and move Britt to guard or tackle.

I thought Amadi looked good today. Could definitely seeing him starting over Tedric Thompson from here on out if McDougald is healthy
