How to beat SF.
Arizona showing the way...
Run tempo.
Run counters to the exterior.
Throw screens.
Stack the box and blitz.
Doubt we do any of these things though.

Well they won by three and we won by 17 in AZ. I guess we are better than the 49ers after all. lol

Hawks do all of those things. Some of your suggestions are not possible.IStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 2:56 amArizona showing the way...
Run tempo doesn't make sense
Run counters to the exterior. Not how counters work.
Throw screens.
Stack the box and blitz. Seahawks have been stacking the box for a decade and this forum wants them to be different.
Doubt we do any of these things though.

Run tempo... "doesn't make sense" a tempo offense? Get to the line quickly? Keep them off balance? Ever heard of it?
Actually yes, it's how counters CAN work. Run the 3 exterior O-line the opposite way of the designed run... 2 pullers from the opposite side go with the RB... the RB doesn't necessarily need to run behind his blockers... instead he can run around them to the exterior... you saw it a lot in the AZ offense last night as the RB often hit big plays past the design of the run.
The Hawks throw very few screens compared to the majority of the NFL.
The Hawks run a rush 3-4, drop back D more than most teams in the NFL. They need to Blitz and stop protecting their safeties in this one.
They wanna beat SF. They are going to need to show SF things that they're not expecting us to do.
Re: How to beat SF.
You meant up tempo. Not sure what Run tempo is . So no I've never heard of it. And yes I know what a counter is . It is a read by the back. The hole opens inside, off tackle or to the outside. There is no counter designed to go to the outsideIStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 2:44 pmAh yes... the pro always coming in with his infinite assholeism.ThePro wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 9:22 amHawks do all of those things. No need for personal attacks.

Exactly. But unlikely. SEA will run the ball (or attempt to), the clock will tick down, the game will end.
And Pete will be dumbfounded as to why they lost.
But don't worry about SF, TB is going to give this team all they can handle.
Re: How to beat SF.
Why do they have to show them something they haven't seen before? They can execute at a high level and beat anyone. That's something they've yet to achieve. If they block that's good enough to beat SF or Tampa.douche wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 3:55 pm

Re: How to beat SF.
yeah, winning ballgames is about executing your offense and your defense, its not casting around trying to find something new, you are not going to trick anybody. Concentrate on what you do and doing it well
