Do we need to win Monday to get to the SB?

If we lose Monday the division is almost assuredly lost. I know HFA ain't what it used to be but I can't see us making to the SB as a WC team playing on the road in throughout the playoffs.

Yes. Not only that, but if they lose this game it will be an uphill battle just to get into the playoffs with their remaining schedule.

Never mind. I was thinking this was a home game. I f they can split the series with SF and win one of the three road games against PHI, CAR, and LAR as well as take care of their other home games they should be fine.
But yes, they probably need to sweep SF in order to win the division at this point.

In 1994 the Eagles started the season 7-2 and lost the last 7 games to finish 7-9 and missed the playoffs. The Seahawks have got to be the second worst 7-2 team ever behind them. When was the last time you saw a 7-2 team barely squeak out back to back wins against teams with a combined 3 wins? With the schedule they have left I think there is a far greater chance that they miss the playoffs than there is that they win the division. They will win a few because they have Russell Wilson but they will probably be the betting underdog in every game left other than the Cardinals and the Eagles. Unless there is a sudden and drastic improvement from the defense this team doesn't even warrant Superbowl conversation.

Good news is the 49ers schedule is very similar to ours. They play at NO and the Ravens, the Packers and obviously us twice and the Rams again.

49ers favored by 6. I thought it would be more.

This is pretty much a must-win game. You're talking having to win on the road in the playoffs three times, and that probably includes San Francisco, Green Bay, New Orleans, at least two of those places. Ain't happening.

The Niners play the way we used to. Physical punishing defense and a power run game. I don't think they will beat the Ravens and Saints, but I don't think the Rams and Packers have any chance against them. The Packers looked absolutely helpless against the Chargers four man rush. Rodgers will probably be out of the game by the second quarter against the Niners.

That could hurt his MVP anointment.

Assuming we don't sweep SF and take the division, I'd say the Wild Cards are 2 of 3 between us, the Rams and the Vikings. I think that if we beat the Vikings, at C-Link, we are in. Also, we've already beaten the Rams once...they have a interesting "must win for both teams" game in Pittsburgh this week. Still, if they win and we lose, things would be tight.
I would not be surprised to see Philly pass up Dallas. The Cowboys have a rough stretch coming up, vs MInn, @ Detroit, @ NE, vs Buff, @ Chicago, vs Rams, @ Philly. Philly, plays 4 or its last 5 against Miami, NYG and Wash.
