from last year...
Star wide receiver Josh Gordon claimed he left the New England Patriots earlier this week in order to focus on his mental health, though we now know that he has been suspended indefinitely (again) after violating the terms of his reinstatement to the league.

But per insiders, this wasn't a cut-and-dried failed test for weed that throws the league's marijuana policy into question.

According to Ian Rapoport, Gordon tested positive for "more than marijuana" and failed multiple tests, despite the clamps the Patriots put on him.
man has issues, probably needs to get out of football and focus on them

Seemed like a cool dude. Teammates loved him. Fanbase was taking a liking to him. Seemed like he liked it here. Hell I would still take him back.

Still don't know. He's already tried getting out of football.

According to this it was PEDs and substance abuse.

I would too. For crying out loud, if it is marijuana who cares!? My guess is he is in less danger to himself or others than if he was drinking a ton of alcohol. The NFL needs to change this.

What I read originally said PEDs and substance abuse. I see you posted a link as well. If that is the case, the PEDs? That is crazy...rehabbing his injury maybe?
