Did RW cross the line?

Post by trharder » Wed Jan 29, 2020 4:00 am

“I think we need a couple more (players),’’ Wilson said. “I think we need a couple more. (Defensive end) Jadeveon (Clowney) is a big-time guy that we would love to get back on our football team. He was so good in the locker room. He brought so many just havoc plays to the field. Hopefully, we can get a few other players there on the defense. Then also on offense, we have a great offense, but I think we can always add more pieces. I think that’s going to be the part that’s going to be great with (general manager) John Schneider and (coach) Pete (Carroll), as well, in terms of this offseason’s free agency. Free agency is very, very key to getting those superstars on your team and try to get great players that can fill the space.” - RW

Danny O'Neil this morning on 710 was saying RW should never publicly say the team needs anymore than what is already on the roster. Maybe O'Neil was desperately trying to get a hot take going on his failing morning show, but he sounded serious when he was saying it.

Hell no! Loved those quotes! People always complain about RW being a robotic Mr. Rogers and now he is candid about what the team obviously needs and he get slammed for that as well??

Danny is a whiny tool. F him.

26th ranked defense? Whose feelings is he hurting? More specifically who gives a shit? They do need more players.

Not to mention, maybe it will light a fire under the assess of the guys they need to pick it up or become a Seattle Dragon. That is called leadership.

O'Neil is wrong, no surprise. They got worked against the Packers, and the guy talking is the only reason they made the playoffs. Maybe the rest of the group should get their asses together or get out of the way. Jaron Reed comes to mind, maybe a few secondary players and O Lineman? For all the talk by our O Line in the Pre Season, it sure was disappointing watching them look like just about every other Seahawk O Line post Super Bowl ring!

It doesn't look like we'll get much of a discussion when everyone agrees Danny O is wrong again.

its a rebuild, they have put themselves $70 below the cap to accomplish it, why should anybody be shy to speak to it? What is Oneils position, they have $70 mil in cap space but the team is complete...ok got it

No, I imagine his position is Wilson shouldn't say things that might hurt the tiny little feelings of guys like Maleek Turner, Jaron Reed, Jacob Holister, Germain Ifedi, Joey Hunt, Lano Hill, David Moore, Mike Iupati, Justin Britt, Michael Kendricks, Ed Dickson, Tedrick Thompson or any one else I am forgetting that is stealing money because they either stink or can't manage to get on or stay on the field.

If Danny was smart he should be telling Kiro that they need some actual talent before that dogshit morning show with Gallant gets cancelled. Starting by replacing him! Going from Brock and Salk to those two clowns is like what would happen if RW ever got injured and we had to go with Geno Smith.

btw curious if anyone has ever listened to Brock and Salks podcast. Maybe I am weird but even though I listened to them a lot live on the radio, I would just never consider listening to a podcast that was recorded earlier.
