It's funny how the haters are now saying the secondary is bad... Anything to continue the "He can't run routes" narrative.

It's so easy to be that pessimistic. I would love to hear what his reasoning behind it is. Remember when the D said they would shut him down when the pads came on and they could be physical with him? It's gotten worse.

He said because WRs have the highest bust rates other than QBs, because WRs always struggle as rookies and because so much has to happen before they can make a play.......whatever the F that means. So he completely ignores anything specific to DK, just that he is a rookie WR. :|

Under normal circumstances I would somewhat agree with him but like you said nothing specific to Metcalf.

First he is a athletic freak, second he had a chip on his shoulder, third he has the pedigree ( Dad and Grandpa both NFL) , fourth his work ethic rivals Wilson's... Since he was drafted they have been throwing together everyday . He does eye hand coordination drills every day. He works on his footwork with Lockett and then runs routes with Wilson after every practice. He went to California and Mexico with the team to do drills. He worked with two different WR coaches since he's been drafted.I've been following this .

This isn't happening on accident. DK wants to be great.

Exactly. Great summary. Some people just get off on being buzz kills despite the lack of any logical reason to do so.

I don't think O'Neill is getting off on it . A lot of fans are so afraid of being disappointed. That's part of being a fan. I am excited. It's developing into a great story.

Ok, getting off isn't the right phrase he is playing the role of the cautious, calm level headed analytical type. It makes sense on occasion but sometimes but DK is just not the guy to be sitting out the hand on.

I agree with you guys, but have one question. The topic of work ethic. I agree, it is impressive what DK does....but how many of us work 40 plus hours a week and still find time to workout? I would LOVE to get paid a crap ton of money to do all the stuff they call work!

They are extremely talented....but the work ethic thing has always blown me away. You make a shit ton of money on your body producing....working out is your job.
