. “I will say, we’re going to get something done,” Metcalf told Shannon Sharpe, via the the Club Shay Shay podcast. “I think I’m going to be in Seattle for the next couple of years.”

Re: DK saying
Didn’t Russ say that about a week before we traded him? Then the truth came out.
Re: DK saying
What's he going to say? Is he going to be like Earl Thomas and say "come and get me"?
Re: DK saying
Never been any indication from either side that he is leaving. There were countless from RW and his camp.Michael K. wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 1:23 pmDidn’t Russ say that about a week before we traded him? Then the truth came out.

He doesn't have to say he thinks they will get something done, he could just say nothing. I don't remember RW saying anything like that when they were negotiating his contact. With him it was silence wasn't it? It beats him saying he feels disrespected doesn't it?

Re: DK saying
He gave a deadline to the team, where if he wasn’t signed so many days before the draft, he would refuse any future extension. It was pretty public too, he filmed that video in bed with Ciara lolDonn Beach wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 8:55 amHe doesn't have to say he thinks they will get something done, he could just say nothing. Re: DK saying
I believe Wilson's public position was that he would not negotiate past a certain point - that he wouldn't negotiate during the season. He didn't say he wouldn't re-sign, only that he wouldn't negotiate during the season. Also, his cringy theatrics with Cialis in bed were after he DID sign. Jesus, does Denver have any idea of the fucking clown show they are in for? I am so glad that clown is gone. Can we get CRINGERUSS trending?MarinerMike wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 2:04 pmHe gave a deadline to the team, where if he wasn’t signed so many days before the draft, he would refuse any future extension. Funny how DK seems completely unfazed by Wilson's departure and is posturing that he really wants to stay in Seattle. it could be theatrics, but it seems like he is genuine in wanting to stay. He probably realizes that after Geno Smith showed the world what could happen when a QB sits in the pocket, reads and throws, DK's world will be more productive post- CringeRUSS.
Re: DK saying
I was all for it when the initial trade speculation first broke following the massive WR deals and knowing we were in reset/rebuild mode post Russ/Bobby departure. this is because i think:
A. He's overrated (too many drops, too much diva, too little result statistically on a per-target basis) and
B. the whole position is overrated (so many WRs available and so many champions/contenders who succeed without top ones)
Now that the draft is behind us however, need to retain his star power to hold the locker room (trading him now is waving the white flag for the season). So keep him this year and either renegotiate a team friendly deal or if he will not, then trade him pre-draft next offseason for the 3rd 1st rounder that should absolutely ensure us the draft capital to get our choice of QB in the draft plus a premium pick for a WR replacement.

I think his numbers were actually better last year with Geno.auroraave wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 2:22 pm

And #CringeRUSS
I can see that catching on....in Seattle. In Denver? Not until December. LOL
