Yep and there is no stipulation on how they spend so free market econ. That is how teams value QBs and pass rushers vs. other positions.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 3:45 amHow can they be out of control when there is a salary cap

Re: Aaron Donald
PFF was speculating RW being worth 4 wins, in a 17 game season that seems pretty significant
Re: Aaron Donald
Four wins over who? Me and you or an average NFL QB? If it is WAR, I would same that would prob be accurate if he was in his prime but not now. In that division I will be surprised if they win more than 3 more than they did last season when they were 7-10.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sun Jun 12, 2022 8:15 amPFF was speculating RW being worth 4 wins, in a 17 game season that seems pretty significant

You don't seem to be in agreement much with your boys over at PFF these days. They don't seem to see him as pqst his prime

I posted this article before. But the fact remains that Wilson has been a more aggressive passer in recent seasons. Even without an increase in third-down efficiency, Wilson in 2019 posted a career-high single-season WAR of 4.60, along with his best-ever PFF passing grade of 91.1. These career-best numbers were fueled in part by a career-low 1.7% turnover-worthy play rate.
If Wilson is the same type of aggressive passer for Denver, it's possible for him to return another WAR over 4.0 under similar circumstances.

Re: Aaron Donald
That is 2019 Donn. You realize what year it is, right? Let’s look at what happened after the loss to AZ in 2020 when teams went cover 2? Russ can no longer effect the game with his legs, struggles to see from inside the pocket, and wham….we had a season and a half worth of mediocre to bad. Watch the Giants game again from that season, watch the playoff debacle against the Rams and tell me that is the guy from 2019!
Fuck, sometimes the National media is hilarious. If we still had Wilson they would rip Us for pinning our hopes to an aging QB who’s last good season was 2019. Denver gets him and 2019 is how he will play again!

National media is a bit of a generation, this specifically is PFF, which some seem to hold in high regard.. It's the debate winner if you can pull some PFF out of your ass. I don't think 2019 is viewed as his last good season, it's considered his best season. Believe they feel he has posted some pretty good seasons since then
Re: Aaron Donald
From 91.1 in 2019 to 73.9 last season. Yep those PFF guys know what they are talking about.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sun Jun 12, 2022 4:33 pmNational media is a bit of a generation, this specifically is PFF, which some seem to hold in high regard.. Re: Aaron Donald
Wasn't he injured last season? Had 90 in 2020
Re: Aaron Donald
He will need to be close to 90 to make the trade work out for Denver. I don't see it.
