The Titans built their team around a RB. Then he got hurt and they lost a home playoff game as the #1 seed coming off a bye. Running Game? Yes. Running BACK? No.

This is why, IMO, good teams draft RBs, bad teams pay RBs.
Bad running backs are shit. Look to every RB we have had since Lynch.

As for DT not being Larry Stone, I was refering to the red text. I thought you added that as your comment (because it was red). I apologize.

Oh gotcha. I only put it in red because I thought it was his key point and I was kind of surprised by it not that I necessarily agree with it. All good.

I knew we would still be good.

I'd like to know from Larry how a team can center their rebuild around one wide receiver?

He did say that but not even sure what that even means. They just drafted a LT and an RB who both could be elite. Seems they are going to spend this season to see if Lock can be good enough and if he isn't they will draft a QB that could be elite. So then you would have four key offensive players to build around. Not sure if trading on of the four now makes you any better.

Running backs used to drafted in the first round a lot. Now they aren't for a reasons like short shelf life due to injury and the league wide love of the passing game.
Maybe this is an undervalued position that can pay dividends?
If every other year a back like Walker is taken with a second round pick you have a stable of young and hopefully healthy backs that the hawks are always running out of by the end of the season.
They are also salary cap friendly for their short shelf life.
The hawks have wasted first and second round picks on a worse plan.
Carson would be smart to retire, fused necks are nothing to mess around with.

Pete on Carson, doesn't sound good
"It's just hard on him," Carroll continued. "Our guys love this game that they grow up playing and when they sense that there may be an end to it, it's hard. It's difficult and it's real. We're going to love him through it and help him as much as possible if that's the case, like we do with everybody when it comes to the end of it. It's inevitable. It's coming. But it's always too soon. We're trying to fight that off and he knows that. He's battling. He's doing everything he can and he wants to compete all the way until the last word, and so he's going for it."

Three possible trade partners for DK.

This seems questionable.

Looked like he was going 70% tops there. And when he crossed 1st base and decided to break for 2nd lioked a bit gimpy.

I thought he looked pretty sound. Any sketchiness rounding first was more likely indecision and inappropriate footwear.
