Re: Carson Retires
Sad day. Carson always went 100%. He and Chancellor were cut from the same cloth.
Re: Carson Retires
Yup - loved the way he punished defenders for tackling him. Definitely wore the defense down as the game went along.

came here to post this. They will release him with failed physical designation, which allows him to collect several million in injury protection benefits. Class move, and deserved because Carson literally gave his body up for the team. I will always be a huge fan of Carson (assuming he doesn't LOB something and end up in jail).
Re: Carson Retires
Might not of surpassed the Beast but had a chance to be the 2nd best RB in history if he stayed somewhat healthy. Still in the top 10 and prob closer to 5 than 10.SeattleAddict wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 7:31 pmcame here to post this. Neck injuries are nasty. Better to retire and live life. All the best, CC!

Re: Carson Retires
probably unpopular, but I don't think Marshawn is the best RB in Seahawks history. He is everybody's favorite, because he's Marshawn and his highlight reel is on another level, but day-to-day, I don't think he was better than Curt Warner or pre-contract Shaun Alexander, and Chris Warren and Ricky Watters are up there, too. If Carson stayed healthy, I think he's better than all of them... but he didn't so he wasn't.

Tend to forget how dominant Shawn was in 2005

Re: Carson Retires
More than just that season, but? Then he got paid. Curt Warner came back from an injury and gave his all to this organization.
Beastmode was for a time my favorite. But, refusing to get on the bus to go to Carolina, retiring and then watching us bring in guys off the street to play RB and THEN coming out of retirement but only to play for Oakland? Lands him behind Warner and Carson in my book. Not on talent or stats, but as a fan of a Seahawk RB. The same reason Wilson now lands behind Hasselbeck and Zorn, IMO. Better QB? Sure, but I think guys like Zorn and Matt H would have done a better job of keeping that Locker Room together. Russ became me first, and I think the guys in the Locker Room grew to hate him for it.
