Didn't Skansi catch the touchdown on the last play of that game against KC, in KC, the Brooks 8 sack game, to beat them? Epic finish.

7 sacks in one game for Thomas. LJ Collier has 3 sacks in 3 seasons.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUSFq5OatdIAfter the Chiefs' 1999 season, Thomas was rendered paraplegic by a car crash and died two weeks later from a pulmonary embolism. He was posthumously inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2009 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 2014.

Yeah, I don't have the hate towards LJ others on here seem to have. He wasn't some super reach - the players drafted around him or right afer him - nothing special, no break outs. Bottom of the first - tough place to pick. His limitations could also be scheme/coaching related - I don't know and don't pretend to. Saw an article saying he was the highlight from the OTA's. maybe he'll be in a position to thrive this year - maybe not. What I'd like to know is, how many people on here who cheered the DK draft pick and the extension - despite his "red flags" - are the same people raging about the Malik McDowell pick because he 'had red flags." Both had 'red flags". Logically, those people complaining about McDowell because he 'had red flags" surely can't be happy with Seattle taking and now extending Metcalf. Can't have it both ways. You either reject all players with red flags - or not. Selectively picking the ones who "made it" as acceptable, while rejecting the one's who didn't - pretty silly - and wildly hypocritical. LJ may bulk up and move inside. He's been around, knows the league, still could be an asset. Or not. Sometimes people hit their stride later - a lot of factors come into play. You know, like Rashaad. This place was overrun with the lamentations of that pick. Turns out - dude's a baller.D-train wrote: ↑Sat Jul 30, 2022 6:18 pm7 sacks in one game for Thomas. LJ Collier has 3 sacks in 3 seasons.

Here's hoping he pulls a Penny and goes off in the final season of his rookie deal.auroraave wrote: ↑Sat Jul 30, 2022 7:18 pmYeah, I don't have the hate towards LJ others on here seem to have. Are you seriously comparing DK and Malik McDowell and LJ Collier??auroraave wrote: ↑Sat Jul 30, 2022 7:18 pm

Other than being drafted by the Seahawks, there are no similarities.
Nobody complained about drafting McDowell from a talent standpoint - his "red flags" was that he made bad decisions. Nobody could have foreseen what a complete and total moron he'd turn out to be, and effectively end his career before training camp. He has become a meme of sorts, a joke, but not a product of lack of scouting. And nobody "raged" about it ever, other than how one 'rages' if they drop their cheese sandwich on the floor - it sucks, but you don't question your life decisions.
DK's red flag was "he can only run one route" and he was projected as a possible top-ten pick that we absolutely STOLE at the end of the second round. Of course everybody was excited about that. Now he's become arguably the most feared WR in the game, so who has an issue with extending him? Could make an argument that they could have gotten more value trading him, but you can say that about any star player.
LJ Collier was a bit of a reach, projected lower, but not THAT much. Disappointment in that pick is purely a result of his lack of production, with a side of him thinking he's "one of the best in the game." Every season since we've hoped for a breakout from him. Is it possible? sure... but it was still a shitty pick.

JR Sweezy just signed a 1-day contract to retire a Seahawk, too. A lot less press coverage about that, for obvious reasons, but I think it's cool when players have a love for the team.
