DK signs!
3 years, $72 mill. $30 mill bonus, the highest ever for a WR. 58.2 guaranteed.
Re: DK signs!
Good for DK. Now he's the face of the franchise. I think his rise in popularity was one of the reasons Wilson wanted out. As DK's spotlight shined brighter, it took away from RW's, and I truly think he wants to be "the only game in town". He blew so many opportunities with DK - it almost seemed he was reluctant to throw to him, lest he have to share any of the spotlight. That may sound harsh, But I really do believe that is what RW has become. He goes to a Donkey team with no other visible stars on offense, a couple of good, solid receivers, if not underachieveing, so he can be the center of attention.
I was on a Donkey site the other day - a couple fans were already talking about Wilson's entourage and over the top celebrity chasing. One of 'em said "we'll just have to suck it up and see if he can get us a ring." I think his reputation is already taking a hit in Denver. This is the guy that wears his own jersey around town.
I'll bet DK has a career year - because we know he and Smith can co-exist very well together - DK flourished when Smith was in.

I was about to ask who was Smith while I read this. I had completely forgot about Geno.auroraave wrote: ↑Thu Jul 28, 2022 11:55 pmGood for DK. Now he's the face of the franchise. I think last years semi-solid -performance was a mirage, or it could be that Pete's hyper-focus on turn-over ratio is beneficial for a guy like Smith.
In Seattle he is a 69% passer with a 5/1 TD/Int ration
Out under 60% and more ints than TDs 29TD to 36 Picks
