Does anyone know if the third year (2025) is an option year for DK or for the Seahawks? Cap hit would be nearly $30 mil.

As I read it, it's a three year deal but the third year isn't guaranteed, there be $11.5 mil dead cap hit, whatever that means

But since the 3rd year is an option year, does that mean he can decline and there be no cap hit then?

That doesn't make it an option, most contracts are not guaranteed. The dead cap hit is if they cut him isn't it?

I believe this is accurate. No option year, just isn't guaranteed money. Dead cap mostly reflects the prorated amount of the signing bonus.

Never mind, i must have imagined it. Doesn't say anything about an option, but does say "potential out" following 2024. Does that just mean "cut him"?
