Adams likely toast for the season...
Re: Adams likely toast for the season...
Honestly he should figure it would happen. 6 years in the league. Only his first two years he’s played a full season. 4 straight years of injuries.

Not a fluke when it’s every year. He is injury prone or fragile in football terms.

Heard injury prone defined by a Hawk position coach once. It's more a mental thing, a player that can't stay on the field due to minor nicks. It's not a player that blows out a knee

Shoulder, groin, knee, fingers, etc. injury prone is what he is. Injuries find him. No matter what he gets injured more than any other Seahawk. Yes, serious. Yes, not planned. Yes, he has been tough playing through stuff. Yes, he is injury prone.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 4:35 amHeard injury prone defined by a Hawk position coach once. Pretty sad how bad this has turned out. Draft picks and large cap hit for a walking wounded player.

I can see it in terms of being susceptible to certain types of injury, like frequent hamstring injuries, or perhaps technique, like concussions from a poor tackling technique. But a correlation between a broken finger and a blown knee that injuries find him... that's basically superstition

Two 1sts and a 3rd was way too much to give up for a safety. That was a desperation move and JS throwing in the towel with regard to his ability to find one in the draft, then compounding the mistake by massively overpaying him. It should be a cautionary tale about the inadvisability of putting so many eggs into one basket that doesn't play QB.

Guys who have a difficult time staying in the lineup over relatively minor issues. I don't know about Penny, some of his issues seemed minor, others serious.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 12:46 pmSo who is injury Prone? Penny? Fact is football is a tough sport, what percentage of a roster suffers injuries over a season, 20%?, probably more if you're looking at the what, the 30 or so players that take most of the playing time. That certain players are victim to a large percentage of serious injuries over a given time I think is a stastical anomaly. Sure you can blame the player, but I doubt it's that unusual given the large amount of injuries and the small amount of players
Re: Adams likely toast for the season...
I think most people just consider it someone the has been injured a lot but that isn't the meaning of prone. The mountains in the example might have never had a mud slide before but are likely to in the future.likely to or liable to suffer from, do, or experience something, typically something regrettable or unwelcome.
"years of logging had left the mountains prone to mudslides"
That being said, if on Sunday you offered Hawk fans $10k if they could guess the first Hawk to miss games due to injury you would have got a lot of Adams votes.
