aw yes, to continue the tradition of UW and WSU backup-quality quarterbacks?

For every Moon and Bledsoe there are plenty of Leafs and Cody Picketts.

I haven't seen the WSU guy play, but Penix has gotten injured every year he's played so I'm only cautiously optimistic about him this year, and much less so for the Seahawks.

I haven't watched Stroud yet but I watched Bryce Young and Penix is far better.

Penix leads the nation in passing yards.

Prototypical size 6'3" 213lbs, Elusive, hasn't got sacked once this season, cannon for an arm, drops dimes into tight coverage all over the field. Maybe you should actually watch him play.

He is 10x better than Geno Smith but yeah I guess his ceiling is a back up because Brock Huard was a back up over 20 years ago. lol

JS must have went to the game to look for a better backup to Geno.
Penix on Saturday had some trouble in the first half connecting on long passes down the field, which had been money in previous weeks. But he had one throw for the archives, an across-the-field 30-yard touchdown strike to Udunze, who made a beautiful grab in traffic. That no doubt caught the eye of Seahawks’ general manager John Schneider, who was in attendance along with a complement of NFL scouts. Penix added a 61-yard completion to Odunze, and a TD pass to Giles Jackson. His stat sheet at the end was once again exemplary: 22 of 37 for 309 yards and two touchdowns.

didn't Bryce Young have like 400 yards and 5 TDs in the first half yesterday before they brought in the backup?

I love Big Penix Energy, but you are way ahead of yourself. Also, you thought (and still think, I think) that Drew Lock is better than half the starting QBs in the NFL, so your QB critiques are questionable.

You pointed out that Penix hasn't been sacked yet like it was a trait. What that shows is the O-Line has been amazing, which has been a big part of his success.

No I didn't think Lock was better than half the QBs, thought he was better than the joker we have starting right now.

Yeah I'm sure Alabama's O line sucks and its all Young....

That's just a poll of, "which Washington College football team do you follow?" 100% of UW fans picked their guy, 100% of WSU fans picked their guy.

I don't want a guy named "Penix" on the Seahawks, and not only because I'm WSU alumni.
